Small wins can lead to BIG milestonesđŸ€

One of my clients shared this as a review last week after our session:

“The stairs are getting easier and smoother climbing and descending. The leg exercises are coming along as time passes. With Taylor’s knowledge and guidance and patience everything is getting better. Next goal is walking to the mailbox.”

Sometimes progress isn’t about lifting more, it’s about being able to accomplish more of the things you love to do!

Sometimes it’s feeling more steady on your feet, And sometimes it’s being able to walk to the mailbox independently.

Those everyday goals matter. They’re the reason we work on strength, balance and mobility in the first place!

And guess what! This week we made it to the mailbox! (with the help of a king the pup)đŸ“«

What are you getting stronger for?

Maybe it’s carrying your groceries without struggling.
Getting up off the floor.
Playing with your kids or grandkids.
Hiking that trail you’ve always wanted to do.
Getting back to a sport you love.
Feeling more confident on your feet.
Or simply being able to do the things you enjoy for as long as possible.

A good fitness goal isn’t just about how your body looks. It’s about what your body allows you to do.

Set a goal. Build the strength to reach it.

Some goals my clients are working on this week:

- Walking to the mailbox independently đŸ“«
- Making a tea without assistance ☕
- Getting on/off the ground đŸ’Ș

What goals are you setting for yourself?

Most people don’t notice changes in their balance until they’ve already had a close call.

If you notice yourself:
1. Holding onto furniture more often
2. Tripping more than you used to
3. Struggling to stand up from a chair

it may be time to work on your strength and balance.

The good news? Balance can often improve with targeted exercise.

📍Serving Vanderhoof with in-home mobility and balance training.

4 weeks of hard work, consistency, and dedication! đŸ’Ș

A huge thank you to my client for allowing me to share his progress with you.

When we first started, our goal was simple but meaningful: stand up from a chair without using his arms.

Through focused exercises like countertop squats, banded squats, and banded side steps, he built the strength and confidence needed to achieve that goal.

Today, he completed 5 sit-to-stands in a row without using his hands! 🎉

The biggest reward wasn’t just reaching the goal. it was seeing the big smile on his face afterward. Moments like these remind me why I love helping people improve their strength, mobility, and independence. (shared with client permission)

Every journey starts with one step. Keep showing up, and the progress will come.
