The Route Plan:

The Great Loop is a system of waterways that encompasses the eastern portion of the United States and Canada. It is made up of both natural and man-made waterways, including the Atlantic and Gulf Intracoastal Waterways, the Great Lakes, the Trent-Severn, Rideau, Lachine, Chambly and Champlain canals, as well as the Ottawa, St. Lawrence, Hudson, Mississippi and Tennessee rivers. The entire loop stretches about 6,000 miles (9,700 km).

.. Maybe also an ocean passage to the Bahamas or Cuba too, TBD... we shall see 😉

Stage 1 in the bag! Remember, getting to Alaska is a marathon, not a sprint. (As evidenced by our 3.5 hour nap on course yesterday) On the bright side, we got to test out sleeping on the spine boards while waiting out for the current to change. Works great! If ya ain't first, yer last.
