For over five decades, Raffan has travelled the rivers, tundra, ice, and coastlines of the Canadian North, building close relationships with communities, documenting remote landscapes, and collecting stories that reveal the soul of the country. In this intimate two-hour show, he shares some of his most memorable experiences — from Arctic circumnavigation to remote canoe expeditions, encounters with wildlife, and the cultural teachings he’s gathered across the North.

Throwback to 1991! Here's a shot of the crew outside 1824 Store Street, Ocean River’s second home in Victoria, where we spent 10 great years.

This location, right next to the iconic Capital Iron building, was steps from the docks where we launched countless tours, rentals, and demos. Being right on the water made it easy to do what we loved most: getting people paddling.

So many good memories in this spot and with this crew. Recognize any familiar faces?

We can't wait to see you on the water!

Can you believe it?! I traveled a staggering 7,500 km all the way from Vancouver Island to the UK! 🌍 As I strolled down the streets of Exeter, I decided to pop into the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery. And guess what I stumbled upon?! The incredible history of kayaks and canoes, showcasing the rich heritage of the British Columbia First Nations! 🤯 It’s like a piece of home followed me all the way here! What are the odds?! Mind blown!

Firstly, we want to express our unwavering support for Canadian businesses! 🇨🇦 We believe in the importance of fostering local talent and innovation. However, we also recognize that challenges arise and, during those times, reaching out to friends can be a game changer.

This week, we took a little road trip to the UK to connect with some fellow paddling brands that truly excel in creating top-notch gear. It was an incredible opportunity to share insights, celebrate craftsmanship, and strengthen our community.
