A tip-of-the-hat to dance and music stylings of the past with a twist of modern-day flare. In this class we will move to the musical majesty of the greats from as far back as the 1930s to present day while focusing on performance, expression, and a variety of jazz and heels dance techniques. It’s jazzy recreation not limited to indulging in our sexy sauciness, playing with character development, and not taking ourselves too seriously.

Interested in Chelsea’s Intermediate Jazz Bootcamp November 14th and 21st?! Then don’t miss the chance to learn about her style and energy ahead of time - this workshop is a must!

A must for dancers interested in Chelsea’s Advanced Chair Performance Bootcamp in December. Dive into more challenging and complex chair trickery. Chelsea is known for her character work, story telling, and her Neo-classic twist. Build strength and connection as you explore your confidence - a chair could become your favourite dance partner!

Sultry contemporary is a celebration of our innate sensuality sans heels. In this class we will sensitize to our bodies through a supportive warm up followed by learning a spacious combination that will allow for individual exploration. Within the framework of our choreography, we will integrate optimal postural alignment, isolations, floorwork, and embodied storytelling. Variations on timing, intention, and quality of movement are welcome and encouraged in this sultry container.

Something a little different this year! A selection of our Naughty Nutcracker Bootcamps include designated Performance programs.
Not ready to perform or away during show time? You can still register for the Choreography Classes of our Beginner Heels and Intermediate Jazz bootcamps.
If the stage is calling, the Performance Program is for you!

Full Cast Production Development Dates: December 5 and 12, 3:00 - 6:00pm
Production Dates:
December 15 to 19, 6:00 - 10:00pm
Includes tech + dress rehearsals, and 3 shows at the Guild Hall

(Regardless of performing, we strongly recommend 3-4 technique sessions before signing up for a bootcamp. Because our bootcamps focus on choreography, a new dancer is not going to learn the foundational technique for safe and confident ex*****on. A bootcamp should not be your first class with VA)

Come build your performance foundation! We strongly recommend participating in technique sessions before signing up for a performance Bootcamp. Our Bootcamps have a choreography focus and these sessions will boost your ability, and confidence to execute each Bootcamp number.
(A Bootcamp should not be your first class with VA

Chelsea Hartwick

Our summer workshop series focuses on more advanced training opportunities. Designed for the intermediate and up dancer looking for a challenge. Expect foundations, foundations, foundations! Advanced does not always mean fast. Advanced does not need more choreography. Advanced doesn’t have to be about tricks. Come learn the control to command the stage. Available to dancers 17 years and up.

$30 per class or $105 for all four. Register for individual workshops, or select the Advanced Workshop Series session pass under the Store tab.

Not advanced? Our Open Drop In classes are recommended to participants with less experience.
