Of course we would have liked to win every game in this tournament, but our girls got a chance to square up against some C1 iModel (Regional) teams as the only District level team in our division. They held their own, with close scores each game. With some lessons learned and some good 11v11 experience for some of our newer players, the scores may not reflect a win but there was much to take away from today for our team, and lots to be proud of!

Another match down, resulting in a hard-fought 0–0 draw against Hamilton Sparta FC. Another clean sheet on the books for our keeper, but only 1 point for the team!

The girls fought hard in their first game on a full size field in 11v11 format in months. Taking on a C1 iModel team from Mississauga, they held their own until an unfortunate hand ball turned into a PK for Dixie, who took advantage of the situation and found the back of the net.
Good learning opportunity for the girls, on to the next!

Unfortunately a tough end to our season with one game in hand, as Alliance FC secured Top Spot in the league with an own goal during a corner kick and a fluttering chip shot in tonight’s tough 0-2 loss.

Today we had our fundraiser BBQ at Zehr’s and it was a success!! Thank you to everyone who stopped by, bought food, or helped by simply donating to our incredible group of girls.

Today is the day!

From 11am-3pm at Zehrs we will be flipping and seving hot dogs and burgers for our season end fundraiser!
