Currie-A-Tune Music and Dance House

We danced and played at Bluegrass Along The Harpeth last weekend. None of the kids placed, but we enjoyed getting to spend the weekend doing what we love. I received 3rd place in Senior fiddle.

Our family participated in the Smithville Fiddlers' Jamboree and Crafts Festival on July 5th and 6th. The girls were a part of Jackson Hollow, the youngest Square Dance team to compete at the Jamboree. Dexter’s team, Harpeth River, received 3rd place in Youth Square Dancing. I (Heather) received 1st place in Senior Fiddle and 1st in Senior Clogging.

We’ve had a busy summer! My children competed at the Robert Spicer Tennessee State Buck-Dance Championship on June 29th. Paisley Currie placed 3rd in the 0-7 age category. Dexter’s team, Harpeth River, placed 3rd in Youth Square Dance.

Today is the day where our friends and volunteers come together to get the stage ready for the 5th Annual Robert Spicer Tennessee State Buckdance Championship!! We have more work to do — but we can’t wait for you all to come see us tomorrow at Vance Smith’s Grand Old Hatchery in Dickson, TN
