Gasshō

Ueshiba Moriteru Doshu and his wife Kyoko attended the fall garden party hosted by the Emperor and Empress of Japan at the Akasaka Imperial Gardens in Tokyo.
On April 29th Doshu was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette for the spread and promotion of Aikido during the Spring Honors. He was invited to attend in recognition of his distinguished service.

植芝守央道主と恭子夫人は10月28日、東京・元赤坂の赤坂御苑で開催された天皇皇后両陛下主催の秋の園遊会に出席しました。

道主は４月29日の春の叙勲において、合気道の普及・振興の功により旭日小綬章を受章しました。今回の園遊会の出席はその功労により招待されたものです。

It is a historical moment for the International Aikido Federation (IAF)!
Today, on 11/09/2025, an Extraordinary General Assembly of the IAF has unanimously resolved to start the process of IAF incorporation.
This marks the beginning of a new chapter—the IAF will become a General Incorporated Association (GIA), as a crucial first step toward becoming a Public Interest Incorporated Association (PIIA).

A heartfelt thank you to Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba, President of the IAF, who graciously opened and closed the meeting, to Dojo-cho Mitsuteru Ueshiba and other esteemed members of the Aikikai Foundation, as well as the members of the IAF Senior Council, Technical Council and Directing Committee. We also express deep gratitude to all Member Countries for the unanimous support of this important way forward.

We are convinced that today’s achievement strengthens the IAF’s leading role in representing Aikido within the international sports community and safeguards the art’s enduring values for future generations.
