RSC TAHITI TRIALS
Our sailors are currently competing in trials for the Yacht Club de Tahiti Optimist Oceania Championship this May — an international regatta with sailors from Tahiti, New Caledonia, New Zealand, and the Cook Islands.
Challenging light wind conditions have tested skill and patience, with guidance and support from Coach Jacobo Miquel helping our sailors rise to the occasion.
Good luck to all those trialling!

Dear Avarua Bakery Team,
On behalf of the entire Rarotonga Sailing Club, I am writing to express our sincere gratitude for your generous sponsorship as our bread provider. Your support has been invaluable, and we are especially thankful for your contribution last fortnight, which helped us save a significant $70 towards our Tahiti Regatta fundraiser, supporting our journey to Tahiti in May 2026.
This kind of community support is what keeps our club thriving and allows us to continue fostering a love for sailing within Rarotonga. Your commitment directly impacts our ability to maintain our facilities, provide training, and organize events that benefit our members and the wider community, including enabling our sailors to compete internationally.
We are proud to partner with a local business like Avarua Bakery, known for its quality products and dedication to the community. We look forward to showcasing our appreciation for your support at our fundraiser this weekend, where we will be presenting a special poster acknowledging your contribution.
Thank you once again for your incredible generosity and for being such a vital part of the Rarotonga Sailing Club family. We deeply appreciate your partnership.
Sincerely Meitaki maata,
The Rarotonga Sailing Club Team
