A early start this morning 3.30am out looking for gts. Saw a few monsters but unfortunately weren't on the chew. So troy thought let's head to the fad and have a crack at some tuna. Cain got to experience yellowfin fishing at its best. Well done lads.

What an amazing day for troy. Not only his first bigeye tuna but also a new cook islands game fishing club record. Smashing the old record of 48kg back in 1991. This beauty weighed in at a whooping 68.5kg. To add to his haul with 2 albacore and 2 yellowfin tuna.great day out on the ocean

Another awesome day out on extreme. Brendon on the helm and troy doing his normal decky routine decided to head east with tai and crew in search of a marlin which was on tai's bucket list. Few hrs in and boom double hook up of marlin one a massive fish which went straight down at a rate of knots the smaller one dancing around like a complete nut job crossing lines and generally just making a bloody mess of the gear. After a few mins the big beast spat the hook . So all hands on the smaller one. After cutting alot of tangled line off they manage to land his dream fish job well done by all. Last 2 marlin caught on short corner with the fathom lure

Mother nature at its best. Troy and I decided to go out for a fish shortly after leaving the habour boom a very nice yellowfin around 45-50kg decided to jump on the hook and join us for the rest of the trip. An hr later this beautiful sailfish also wanted to join the party. I've seen blue marlin light up aswell as the beautiful displays mahi mahi put on . But this was something spectacular it just lit up like a neon light absolutely breathe taking. Even the remora was white instead of it's usual grey/black. All in all great morning and another amazing memory to be stored away.
