Dear friends, we are truly sorry to bring this relevant information relating to the covid-19 pandemic to you only now. Some of you are already aware that 4 weeks ago, ADISA’s director inspired the creation of a Community Response Unit (CRU) to deliver proactive solutions able to serve communities and the general public, in the midst of the pandemic.
Through the phone contact list of members of the CRU, we have been able to reach out to their families, colleagues and friends through WhatsApp, who have in turn helped to share relevant information which has the potential to save lives which could otherwise be lost to covid-19. Indeed, we have already reached out to thousands of Cameroonians within the last few weeks and we can do much more.
We are aware that many of you have already in one way or another, contributed to holding back the prevalence of the coronavirus disease in Cameroon. We will like to ask you to continue in that same spirit of patriotism and love for humanity, as you help us share the information we are now sharing with you.
At such a time in our nation’s history, we do not only believe that working with you will make the difference, we also believe that the difference will be made because you decided to make a difference.
Cameroon is counting on you.
Thank you.

The Douala RTC was lunched last year in December. The center is just 5 months old, but has gained quite some momentum in the neighbouring communities with more than 70 children training with us weekly. The main disciplines are football and Track Athletics. ADISA is now the largest Sports Academy in Cameroon in terms of number of trainees, with more than 200 trainees in our 4 RTCs across 2 Regions - Limbe, Buea, Tiko and Douala.

So, after winning the hugely coveted Brasseries Top Cup tournament two consecutive times in their first participation in 2016 and subsequently in 2017 in the city of Limbe, our partners in the USA felt it was time for the Dream Kids to showcase their potential. So in 2018, a project to see the young Victoria Gladiators unveiled overseas was underway.
A total of 114 teams from 5 continents showed up at the Dubai Super Cup tournament. Our Boys featured at the Under 14 Category which had 20 teams in 5 different pools. We made it to the finals but lost to a good team from South Africa. It is worth mentioning that all other teams in this category traveled to the tournament with 18 to 22 players, 4 to 6 Staff and a couple of parents for moral support. They were able to make enough substitutions when their players got tired or were not delivering the goods on the day. With only 13 players in our team who had to play 2 games every evening because of the sunshine and heat during the day, the boys had a serious challenge with fatigue.
We were responsible for knocking out last year's champions at the group stage of the tournament with a 3:2 score. They were hoping to take the trophy for a second time in a row. The game they lost against us was the only game they lost in the group stage. Ater a tough quarter-finals game late into the afternoon, we proceeded later in the evening to knock out a Spanish side who were also considered as tournament favourites at the semi-finals, by a 1:0 score. We believe 2nd position as Vice-Champions out of 20 teams in our category was a good enough achievement considering we arrived our hotel in Dubai at about 3:30 am on Monday and won our first game that evening by a 3:0 score.

In February this year, the kids at the Douala RTC were honoured to receive Rev Dr Bokwey Burnley from the USA. The kids had mind-blowing moments with Dr Burnley as she shared personal and other amazing testimonies of some success stories in the world of sports. The thrust of the motivational coaching session pivoted on one of ADISA's core beliefs - ‘For every child, another day is another chance to be the next person to reach their dream’.
