From Hangzhou to Tangshan, STAR hosted an intensive Center of Excellence program bringing middle east surgeons together for clinical observation, surgical demonstrations, and academic exchange across four hospitals:

• The 1st Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University
• The 2nd Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University
• Zhejiang Provincial People’s Hospital
• The 2nd Hospital of Tangshan

The program covered key topics including revision ACL reconstruction, remnant-preserving ACL reconstruction, and shoulder repair procedures alongside discussions on surgical techniques and clinical experience

The final stop was at STAR Sports Medicine Headquarters in Beijing, where our team had the pleasure of giving a factory tour as well as a showroom visit for STAR’s latest product developments and solutions

From August 30 to September 4, the program included academic exchange and surgical observation at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, with a focus on shoulder and knee joint procedures

The surgeons also had the chance to visit STAR headquarters and factory in Beijing, providing an opportunity to learn more about our products, manufacturing capabilities, and clinical solutions

At SECEC 2026, nearly 1,500 shoulder and elbow surgeons gathered from across the globe to explore the latest developments in shoulder and elbow care. Where STAR was present with our latest products such as the Syndesmosis Button System, designed with a focus on simplicity, efficient handling, and a streamlined approach to syndesmosis fixation.

The course brought together Dr. Francois Bruchou and Dr. Amir Salama, covering anterior and posterior shoulder instability and full-thickness rotator cuff tendon tears, followed by hands-on cadaveric sessions on arthroscopic repair technique
