It’s fascinating how the exact same speech can land so differently, depending on the room and the people in it.
A quick recap from my keynote speech at the leadership club last Wednesday.
I always aim to improve, so I asked for honest feedback.
One person said:
“I’d love to hear more of your personal stories.
That’s where I feel touched, where I get emotionally invested.
Since it was a short keynote, there wasn’t much space for deep skills or mindset shifts.
I’d rather listen to stories, feel moved, and experience that emotional shift.”
Another person said the complete opposite:
“I prefer more facts and data to support the theory, instead of personal stories.”
Such a clear reminder:
Different personalities = different preferences.
Some people are more logic- and fact-driven.
Others connect more through emotions and stories.
So here’s my question for you:
If you’ve ever heard me speak, what do you prefer?
Or in general — what resonates more with you: stories, or data?
Curious to hear your thoughts.
And I’m touched by how warm and caring this Leadership Club community is.
They celebrated International Women’s Day by giving flowers, showing such thoughtful care.
They also prepared a lovely cake ——This is my second time giving a speech at Toastmasters, and getting to experience this warm, sweet birthday celebration with everyone felt so heartwarming!
(And as always, I love having fun and participated in the table topic session[
有人偏理性、重事实;
有人偏感性、靠情感连接。
所以我也想问问你:
如果你听过我的分享,你更偏爱哪一种?
或者普遍来说——
打动你的,是故事,还是事实与逻辑?
期待你的答案。

I’m back online after taking some quiet time to reset.
It’s been a full year since I returned to China, and this past year has been less about “achieving” and more about unlearning, rediscovering, and realigning with what truly matters. I’ve been gently asking myself: What do I really value? What life do I want to live?
Slowly but clearly, I’ve shifted into a deeper creator mindset — one rooted in growth, not performance.
One of the most beautiful awakenings has been reconnecting with traditional Chinese wisdom, which has always lived deep within me but now feels fully relit. Concepts like:
- Following the natural order of things (顺天道)
- Aligning with timing, environment, and people (天时地利人和)
- Moving with the flow instead of forcing outcomes (顺势而为)
- The law of cause and effect (因果)
These teachings have grounded me. I now believe even more deeply in planting good seeds, nurturing them with care, giving them the right soil, and patiently waiting — trusting that everything unfolds in divine timing.
This past year has been rich with meaningful sharing: I spoke on stages, including TEDx, and stepped more fully into my voice.
I’ve also learned the cost of staying silent.
That’s why I’ve gently rebranded — not from a “coach” to something “bigger,” but from coach to a thought leader who spreads wisdom that helps people live happier, more fulfilled, and more authentic lives.
I’ve also realized:
Cultivation is not just in the coaching moments — it’s in every moment.
I’ve been integrating both Eastern wisdom and Western coaching practices, practicing alignment with my true self, showing up for others not just as a coach, but as a fellow cultivator of life. This has transformed how I show up with my parents, friends, and network — I’ve become more intentional about who I spend time with, what I say yes to, and what I release.
I’m deeply grateful for the freedom of being self-employed:
the freedom to choose my work, my path, my circle.
As I clear and protect my energy, I naturally attract and serve the right people — those ready to grow, heal, and rise.
During the recent Spring Festival, I spent two transformative weeks in Hainan. At a digital no

What my “cold” has taught me about productivity & self-imposed pressure.
I caught a bad cold last week.
So, I’ve been intentionally unproductive:
🧘 Standing meditation, Ba Duan Jin, quiet sitting
📖 Reading, light housework, short walks
📱 Working occasionally, only when my head felt clear
I postponed deadlines. Canceled a speaking commitment.
And you know what? Nothing collapsed.
I realized — so much of the urgency we feel is self-created.
The world continues even when we pause.
Projects adjust. People understand.
Often, we are the ones who refuse to forgive ourselves —
even when others already have.
Of course, responsibility matters.
But so does discernment:
Is what you’re pushing for truly worth the cost?
This Friday, I invite you to ask:
What’s one pressure you can release?
What “should” can become a “could”?
Sometimes, the most productive thing we can do —
is to do less, and be more.

From Fear to Freedom: A Coach‘s Guide for New Sales Professionals
How can new sales professionals break through the fear of getting it wrong?
To make our ”Coach-Style Sales“ class more engaging, I recently adopted a ”Private Board of Directors“ format. It wasn’t just about my guidance; it was about harnessing the group‘s collective wisdom.
We uncovered common struggles:
❓ Spiraling into self-doubt when a client doesn’t reply.
❓ Becoming hesitant and timid due to a lack of confidence.
❓ The constant fear that one wrong word will lose the deal.
Here’s a fundamental insight: Vulnerability is a strength. When you don‘t have an answer, try this: ”That’s a crucial question, and I want to give you a responsible answer. Let me verify the details and get back to you with accurate information by tonight. Would that be okay?“ This authenticity builds comfort and trust.
The real shift comes from within:
✨ Reframe every interaction as a chance to learn and grow.
✨ Focus on the salesperson you want to become—for instance, an authentic and confident one.
✨ Release the perfect expectation that doesn‘t match your current reality, like demanding flawless answers within 3 seconds.
Zoom out. Don’t get trapped in a single ”no.“ I learned this as a new coach, agonizing over every rejected proposal. Now I understand: Everyone is on their own timeline. Sales is a process of mutual fit.
We can follow up proactively, but our mindset must remain relaxed and centered.
If you‘re facing similar blocks in your sales journey, I’m here to help. Let‘s connect and transform your fear into the courage to grow.

🌊 Beach Day Vibes in Irvine!
“Let me go—I’m running to the mountains and sea!” 🌞
Laguna Beach was pure magic:
Warm sun, cool waves,
Waiting for the tide to rush in—that thrill never gets old.
Running barefoot on the firm, wet sand
like a little kid…
It wasn’t soft and loose, but smooth and solid—
warm on top, cool underneath. So strangely satisfying!
Found pretty shells and sea snails,
though they were so fragile—crushed one by accident against the rocks 💔
But then… pink sea plants that looked like tiny bouquets 💐
so delicate and lovely.
Clear mountains, free-spirited ocean breeze—
this is why I love standing between land and sea.
Life’s better when we keep it simple and real.
Just pure, present joy. ✨
