In the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, we often find ourselves embracing the philosophy of 'rolling like water.' Just as water is fluid and adaptable, so too should we be in our practice. Embrace the ebb and flow of the roll, allowing your technique to shift and change with the dynamics of the moment. Be soft when you need to absorb, and hard when you need to apply pressure. Let go of rigidity and find your form in the fluidity of the exchange. Remember, the water that wears away stone is not born of force, but of persistence. Be like water, my friend, and find your strength in the ability to flow, adapt, and overcome.

Found another old video of our nogi competition 17-18 August 2024. "Leave a legacy not just of victories, but of respect, humility, and a love for the art. This is what truly lasts beyond the competition."

Our BJJ kids participated in a competition, and the benefits were manifold. They underwent an intensely focused training camp where their progress accelerated rapidly. They experienced the emotional spectrum of winning and losing, a crucial life lesson on resilience and how to rise after each setback. They witnessed the power of teamwork firsthand—it's the training partners who prepare you, push your limits, and stand by your side during competitions.
Confidence was another key takeaway; the kids recognized that by simply entering a competition, they've already surpassed the ordinary. This recognition naturally bolsters their self-belief, as it's rooted in tangible skills. There's no need for artificial confidence when you're genuinely tough. The experience on the mat translates to real-life strength, instilling a sense of self-assurance that is both genuine and well-founded.

After enduring an almost three-month-long, rigorous training camp, our seven warriors—Jimmy Lai, Allen, Luo, Vincent, JJ, Rocky, and Jimmy Ding—finally made their way into the WCFN ring. We are beyond proud of their performance! Each of them displayed the indomitable heart and spirit that defines Invincible.

With fearlessness, they pushed forward in their fights, showcasing tenacity and exquisite technique that quickly made them the crowd's favorites by the night's end. What set our fighters apart most notably was their exceptional preparation. None of them succumbed to fatigue, none were overawed by the magnitude of the event, and none shied away from the challenge. Their readiness was evident, and it was this preparation that carried them through the competition, earning them the admiration and respect of all in attendance.

Day 2 of the competition saw our adult competitors take to the mats, further extending our impressive streak of medal wins. By the day's end, we had amassed a grand total of 34 Gold, 25 Silver, and 12 Bronze medals. Our team emerged victorious in the team cup, securing a lead of over 25%, which is all the more remarkable considering we were not the largest team present at the event. This achievement is a true testament to the skill, dedication, and teamwork of our Invincible BJJ family.

On day one of the AJP (Asian Jiu-Jitsu Pro League), our higher belts and especially our young competitors shone brightly, asserting their dominance in the competition. By the close of day one, our Invincible's BJJ team from GFTeam had taken the lead in team points, a testament to their skill and determination.
The turnout and support from our gym members were nothing short of remarkable. Numerous families brought their children to cheer on their fellow young athletes, and many individuals who weren't even competing made the effort to come out and lend their voices in support of their teammates. This display of camaraderie and team spirit was a highlight of the event, showcasing the unity and strength of our Invincible community.

Invincible was thrilled to co-host, in partnership with the UFC, a seminar featuring the promising Chinese UFC fighter, Zhang Ming Yang, also known as "Mountain Tiger." At the time, he was riding an impressive 10-fight winning streak, with all victories coming in the first round. Zhang generously shared insights into his training regimen, demonstrated valuable techniques, and discussed his approach to his career. Looking back, we feel incredibly fortunate because one of the techniques he highlighted was the very same he used to knock out Ozzy Diaz in the first round at UFC Macau, extending his winning streak to an astounding 11 consecutive wins.
Zhang was patient and attentive with every participant, ensuring a thorough understanding of each detail he taught. His demeanor and expertise truly shone as he embodied the role of an ambassador for the sport, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.

As another season of rigorous training draws to a close, we gather to celebrate the well-deserved promotions of our teammates. It is with immense joy and pride that we acknowledge each student who has earned an additional stripe or a new belt. Our approach to these ceremonies is not one of expecting rewards, but rather of relishing the moments of recognition and shared happiness with our team. We believe that with dedicated and consistent training, success is sure to follow. So, let's remember to keep pushing ourselves in training, and the results will naturally come.

b.While competition medals may be the icing on the cake, the real treasures of participating in competitions lie in team building, personal development, the thrill of the experience, and, most crucially, the significant leap in BJJ skills that comes from enduring a fight camp. Fight camp is never a walk in the park, but it elevates every aspect of your training to new heights. The outcome is an intensified, concentrated, and exceptionally challenging training regimen, which is, in fact, the most substantial benefit of joining a competition.
