What a surprise! Marc and I jointly got the Golden Cleat Award for sailing + tennis, AND I got most improved tennis (I set the bar low 💁🏻♀️)
Another great summer at VHYC, grateful for this little community, and the ability to balance out all the work in summer with play ⛵️🎾

Grateful for the opportunity to host a roundtable with Elizabeth Warren today at the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce and to help raise the voices and concerns of our Island community
The challenges facing Martha’s Vineyard are complex, especially when it comes to housing, workforce stability, and preserving the character of the Island we love. There are no simple solutions, but meaningful change starts with making sure the people living and working here are heard by those shaping policy, both on Beacon Hill and in Washington
I’m grateful to everyone who came to the table, spoke candidly, and advocated for the future of our Island

Not so long ago this kid turned 7. He chose to celebrate fishing and (to my horror) we actually caught fish, clamming for his dinner (clams casino are still his fave food) and the annual Black Dog strawberry cake that, keeping with tradition, I frantically order last minute by harassing Laura Beckman when she’s just getting busy with actual summer craziness. Can’t fight tradition ✨💫✨🎂🍰

Island kid, back in his element: following low tide, digging in the sand, bringing home dinner

Once upon a time I fell asleep on a small island, and when I woke up my island was there but my people were gone
