We gathered the most valuable tips from professional athletes. ⬇️
— Keep movement light: an easy shake-out, mobility and familiar strides only if they are already in your plan.
— Eat familiar, carbohydrate-rich meals. Race week is not the time for a new restaurant, supplement or “superfood.”
— If clinically appropriate, schedule IV hydration support 48–72 hours before race day. This gives your body time to respond, keeps the final 24 hours predictable and avoids introducing anything new too close to the start.
— Never make race week your first IV. Your hydration and recovery plan should feel familiar, not experimental
— Avoid heavy strength sessions, hard recovery treatments, alcohol and anything that may leave you sore or depleted.
— Prioritise routine over perfection: consistent sleep, low stress and early nights.
— Prepare your kit, nutrition, race plan and logistics early—so race morning feels boring in the best way.
Save this for the 48 hours before your next start line.
*For athletes subject to anti-doping testing, IV therapy must always comply with current WADA rules and be discussed with their medical team.
