Gracias a mi familia de bici poleros, juego en Hawaii y publique sobre nuestro tribu isleno alla.
Cuba's first (and only) bike polo club! Location is up in the air for a while. Please message us for specific dates, or if you're in Havana, call Cuba Libro.
Summer hours 5 pm 'til it gets too dark to see the ball; in "winter" we start at 3 pm, gradually moving our start time later as the temperatures rise.

We did better this time: 5 people and 3 bikes. Mine had a flat when we got here and by the time it was fixed, the futbolistas had taken over the court. :-(

The stalwarts
Rain, rain stay away! At least until we finish playing . . .

Six people showed up, but only two bikes. Parts are so hard to get here, folks have had a really tough time keeping their bikes on the road. We enjoyed some great one-on-one polo, courtesy of our own Tomás the Tank Engine and Vancouver visitor, Ken Regehr.
The club has been pretty much dormant for a few months, but we're going to try to revive it on January 6 when we'll have a visitor from East Van Bike Polo, Canadian hotbed of bike polo excellence.

Tomás and I waited an hour on Sunday and no one else showed up to play. And look what happened to our cancha! Must have been a pretty big vehicle; even the sidewalk is buckled. And it just missed a hydro pole! We tried to block the gap at the bottom with a few things we found lying around, but there are still lots of holes.

Our old cancha now has nets!

Not a big turnout for Havana Bike Polo's 6th anniversary, but Tomás was happy for a chance to play Nick Vaughan.
