Dives 3 & 4 completed โœ…๐Ÿคฟ

Esma .cyir and Milan continued their NAUI Open Water course, progressing from the fundamental skills toward greater independence, awareness and confidence underwater.

During these two dives, they practised:

๐Ÿ”น Giant-stride and back-roll entries
๐Ÿ”น Out-of-gas scenarios and alternate-air-source procedures
๐Ÿ”น An introduction to using a dive computer
๐Ÿ”น Monitoring return pressure and dive time
๐Ÿ”น Controlled descents and ascents using a buoy line
๐Ÿ”น Recovering an unresponsive diver from approximately 3 metres
๐Ÿ”น Buoyancy, communication and buddy teamworkโ€”and more

Depth, time and pressure are not simply numbers on a display; they are information divers must understand and use to make safe decisions throughout every dive.

Very good progress from both of them. Two more valuable training dives completed, with every skill bringing them closer to becoming capable and confident divers. ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒŠ

Four new divers and the beginning of their NAUI Open Water journey. ๐Ÿคฟ

Eirini, Elina, Roxani and Alexandros completed their first dive at Green Bay as they started their NAUI Open Water Scuba Diver course.

The first part of the dive was spent in shallow water working through the fundamental skills and getting comfortable with the equipment and the underwater environment.

Then came the rewarding part โ€” swimming, exploring Green Bay, meeting some of the local marine life and simply beginning to enjoy being underwater.

For me, one of the best parts of teaching new divers is watching that transition from concentrating on every small detail to gradually becoming more relaxed and beginning to experience what scuba diving is really about.

A great first step from all four. There is plenty more to come. ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿคฟ

A certification card is only the beginning. ๐Ÿคฟ

For me, dive training has never been about simply completing the required skills and moving on to the next certification.

A good diver develops:

โœ… Buoyancy and trim
โœ… Situational awareness
โœ… Proper propulsion and control
โœ… Gas management
โœ… Teamwork
โœ… Confidence without complacency
โœ… The ability to think and respond underwater

Skills should not just be demonstrated once. They should become part of the way you dive.

That is why I believe in training through repetition, feedback and progressively challenging dives.

Train for competence โ€” not just certification.

Two dives down and a great start for Gosia & Taso on their NAUI Open Water Diver course! ๐Ÿคฟ๐ŸŒŠ

Their first two training dives at Green Bay were all about becoming more comfortable underwater and developing the foundations of safe, controlled diving โ€” buoyancy, awareness, communication and confidence.

A strong beginning for both of them, with more training and more underwater adventures still to come. ๐Ÿ‘

FIRST BREATHS UNDERWATER ๐Ÿคฟ๐ŸŒŠ

A special first dive for Andreas, Milan and Esma at Green Bay, Cyprus. ๐Ÿ’™

That first moment breathing underwater is something every diver remembers โ€” a mix of excitement, concentration and discovering a completely new world.

Step by step, building confidence, learning the basics and enjoying those first underwater moments.

Welcome to the underwater world, Andreas, Milan and Esma! ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿคฟ

Dive two: more skills, more teamwork. ๐Ÿคฟ๐Ÿ’™

Esma, Andreas and Milan continued their NAUI Open Water course with a second dive focused on equipment handling and working together underwater.

During this session, we practised:
๐Ÿ”น Disconnecting the BCD inflator hose
๐Ÿ”น Orally inflating the BCD
๐Ÿ”น Weight-belt removal
๐Ÿ”น BCD removal
๐Ÿ”น Gas sharing while swimming and ascending

Each skill is another step towards becoming a more capable, confident buddy. We take the time to practise, understand our equipment and build good habits under instructor supervision.

Well done, Esma, Andreas and Milan โ€” a great start to your training, with more to learn and explore! ๐Ÿ‘

First dive. First skills. A whole new world. ๐Ÿคฟ๐Ÿ’™

Esma, Andreas and Milan have started their NAUI Open Water course!

Their first dive focused on building a strong foundation: regulator clearing and recovery, mask clearing, BCD use, finning, switching to the alternate air source (octopus), and more.

Step by step, we practise the basics and build confidence underwater โ€” with time to enjoy the world around us, too. ๐ŸŸ

Well done on your first dive, Esma, Andreas and Milan! Looking forward to the next steps together.

Antonios and Yanna completed their final two dives for their NAUI Open Water course ๐Ÿคฟ๐ŸŽ“

Across these final dives they continued putting key skills into practice, refining buoyancy and control, and taking an active role in planning and executing their final dive.

It was great to see their confidence and teamwork develop underwater.

Congratulations, Antonios & Yanna โ€” NAUI Open Water Divers! ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒŠ
Wishing you many safe and enjoyable dives ahead.

First breaths underwater ๐Ÿคฟ๐Ÿ’™

Thereโ€™s something special about seeing new divers take their very first breaths beneath the surface. Calm, curious, and discovering a completely new world at Green Bay. ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ

A great first step into scuba diving โ€” and hopefully the beginning of many more dives to come.
