Our 3D Printing Pop-Up Workshop was full of creativity, curiosity, and hands-on fun! ✨

The children got to explore the entire 3D printing journey — from setting up the printer and customizing ready-made designs to using Tinkercad to design and bring their very own ideas to life! 💛🧡

And the best part? They got to experience our brand-new 3D vending machine, where everyone enjoyed a little surprise to top off an amazing workshop! 🎁

It was wonderful to see the children experiment, learn new skills, think creatively, and discover just how much they can create with 3D printing. 🧡🙌

🦏🛁 How do we get a muddy rhino to the bath?!

What a challenge! 😄 Our little engineers had to figure out how to get a very muddy rhino safely to the bath — and the ideas that came out of it were SO creative! 💡🦏

Through hands-on experimentation, building and play, the children explored how pushes and pulls can make objects move and change direction, while designing their own solutions, testing what worked (and what didn’t!) and making improvements along the way.

✨ What were we learning?

* 🧲 Exploring pushes and pulls and how they affect movement
* ↔️ Discovering how we can change the direction of a moving object
* 🧠 Developing problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
* 🔧 Designing, building, testing and improving ideas
* 🤝 Encouraging teamwork, communication and sharing ideas
* 🌟 Building confidence to experiment, make mistakes and try again

And for our younger groups, we brought the learning to life with 3D-printed rhinos and messy sensory play — because sometimes the best way to learn is to get a little muddy! 🫧💦🎨

So many imaginative, impressive and wonderfully unexpected solutions! 👏

⚡️ We had an electric start to our first STEM workshop of the term at TLC! 🔋💡

Our session kicked off with an introduction to circuits, as the learners got hands-on with LEDs, crocodile clips, and switches. They experimented with different connections, added new components, tested their ideas, and discovered what made their circuits light up! 🔌✨

A brilliant start to the term filled with curiosity, creativity, experimentation, and plenty of “aha!” moments. 🚀

Part-Time STEM & Robotics Workshop Facilitator

Innovate Lab is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic part-time Workshop Facilitator / Instructor to lead engaging STEM and Robotics workshops for children aged 4–8+.

The role involves delivering fun, hands-on learning experiences at Innovate Lab as well as supporting workshops delivered in schools and other educational settings.

The hours are open for discussion. We are particularly looking for someone who has availability on weekdays between 13:00/14:00 and 16:00/17:00, with additional hours potentially available depending on workshops and additional programs.

We’re looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with children and making learning fun
- Has a background in education/Previous experience teaching or facilitating children’s activities
- Is creative, enthusiastic, reliable, and comfortable leading groups of children
- Is willing to learn and contribute to the development of new workshop ideas.
