I was never someone who felt the need to speak often on social media. But time teaches you something important: when you dedicate your life to a path, silence is not always humility—sometimes it is a missed responsibility.
An opinion, when it is built through years of discipline, sacrifice, and experience, deserves to be expressed. Not to be accepted by everyone, but to stand as a reflection of truth as you have lived it.

Not periods of interest—a lifetime of commitment.
And from that journey, one principle stands above all: QUALITY
And what is quality today?
It is definitely not medals and titles. They have their place, especially for children, but they are temporary. In competitive environments, with rules and categories, there will always be results.
But traditional Taekwon-Do is something more.
It is a path that builds character, discipline, and substance.
Real training is not when people are watching, but when no one is.
“Hardness” is not about contact.
It is consistency. It is longevity. It is dedication without shortcuts.
And in this sense, traditional Taekwon-Do is, in my view, one of the arts with the hardest training. Not because it seeks to prove toughness externally, but because it demands continuous effort, mental strength, and long-term commitment.
Through this process, it develops what I consider the ultimate and most complete form of self-defense — not based only on reaction, but on knowledge, combinations, control, and understanding under pressure.
In the end, medals fade.
What remains is:

Δεν ήμουν ποτέ από τους ανθρώπους που εκφράζονται συχνά στα social media. Όμως ο χρόνος σου δείχνει ότι όταν έχεις αφιερώσει τη ζωή σου σε κάτι, έχεις και την ευθύνη να εκφράζεις την άποψή σου — όχι για να συμφωνήσουν όλοι, αλλά γιατί είναι χτισμένη μέσα από εμπειρία.
25 χρόνια διδασκαλίας. Σχεδόν 40 χρόνια συνεχούς προπόνησης.
Μια ζωή αφοσίωσης.
Για μένα, το πιο σημαντικό είναι ένα: η ποιότητα.
Και τι είναι ποιότητα σήμερα;
Σίγουρα όχι τα μετάλλια και οι τίτλοι. Αυτά έχουν τη θέση τους, ειδικά για τα παιδιά, αλλά είναι προσωρινά. Στον αγωνιστικό χώρο, με κανόνες και κατηγορίες, πάντα θα υπάρχουν αποτελέσματα.
Όμως το παραδοσιακό Taekwon-Do είναι κάτι περισσότερο.
Είναι ένας δρόμος που χτίζει χαρακτήρα, πειθαρχία και ουσία.
Η πραγματική προπόνηση δεν είναι όταν σε βλέπουν, αλλά όταν δεν σε βλέπει κανείς.
Η «σκληρότητα» δεν είναι η επαφή.
Είναι η συνέπεια. Είναι η διάρκεια. Είναι η αφοσίωση χωρίς συντομεύσεις.
Και με αυτή την έννοια, το παραδοσιακό Taekwon-Do είναι, κατά τη γνώμη μου, από τις τέχνες με την πιο σκληρή προπόνηση. Όχι γιατί προσπαθεί να αποδείξει κάτι εξωτερικά, αλλά γιατί απαιτεί συνεχή προσπάθεια, ψυχική δύναμη και μακροχρόνια δέσμευση.
Μέσα από αυτή τη διαδικασία, αναπτύσσει αυτό που θεωρώ την πιο ολοκληρωμένη και απόλυτη μορφή αυτοάμυνας — όχι βασισμένη μόνο στην αντίδραση, αλλά στη γνώση, στους συνδυασμούς, στον έλεγχο και στην κατανόηση υπό πίεση.
Στο τέλος, τα μετάλλια φεύγουν.
Αυτό που μένει είναι:
ο χαρακτήρας
η πειθαρχία
η ικανότητα
Αυτή είναι η ποιότητα.
