5 years of Fuel House šŸ–¤

I’ve been lucky enough to experience different parts of this journey, and looking back, it’s really the people and the memories that stand out the most.

The sessions, the events, the laughs, the sweaty workouts, the random conversations in between… so many little moments that probably didn’t feel significant at the time but somehow became part of the story.

Really grateful being part of it and to have watched Fuel House grow over the years.

here’s to 5 years, and many more memories to come. šŸ„‚šŸ¤

If I had to start an athlete’s training week from zero, I wouldn’t start by asking, ā€œhow much can we fit in?ā€

I’d ask, ā€œwhat actually needs to improve?ā€

Your training should make you better at your sport, not leave you constantly exhausted from trying to do everything.

Strength matters. Conditioning matters. Recovery matters. But so does having enough energy to actually perform, work, live your life and show up again tomorrow.

I’ve learned that the hard way over the years šŸ˜‚

More training ≠ better training.

Sometimes the smartest thing you can do is leave a little in the tank.

currently:

trying new things without needing to know where they’ll lead
working on ideas that excite me
learning what I actually enjoy creating
playing basketball because it’s still a part of me
meeting people, making things, saying yes a little more
and slowly figuring out what I want the next chapter to look like.

no perfect plan. no five-year master plan. just exploring, creating, and seeing where it takes me.

maybe that’s the point of this season✨

a little bit of everything lately, and not enough hours in the day šŸ˜‚

working, learning, playing basketball, trying new things, figuring things out as I go, and occasionally wondering if I’ve taken on too much.

but I guess this is what building a life you’re excited about looks like sometimes. a little chaotic, a little uncomfortable, a lot of learning.

wouldn’t have it any other way (ask me again on a monday) 🫠

Nobody really tells you that being a professional athlete changes the way you see life.

You become comfortable with discomfort, learn to trust the process, and realise that progress rarely looks how you imagined it.

The biggest lessons usually happen far beyond the court.

Maybe you don’t need another workout.

Maybe you need more sleep. A rest day. Better nutrition. Less volume. Better exercise selection. Or maybe… you just need to stop changing your program every two weeks.

We’re so used to thinking that more = better, but your body needs the right stimulus + enough recovery to actually adapt.

You don’t need to destroy yourself every session to make progress.

Train hard. Recover properly. Stay consistent.

Smarter > harder. šŸ¤

A lot of what I know today looks simple from the outside.

But behind it are years of training, early mornings, injuries, rehab, competition, studying, coaching, and figuring out what actually works for my body.

So yes, there are things I know.

Not because I saw them on the internet, because I’ve lived them, trained them, studied them, and tested them over time.

And I think there’s something really valuable about knowing the difference.

Things I wish I understood earlier as an athlete.

A little more about me, but definitely not all of it šŸ˜‚

Because apparently my coworkers needed a proper introduction beyond ā€œhi, I’m Stefaniaā€ and seeing me running around the office.

There’s a lot more to me than what made it into this video, but here’s a little glimpse šŸ¤
