❓What helped you most during the preparation of the show? 🩰

One word: teamwork. 🤍

Behind every rehearsal, every challenge, and every achievement, there was a group of people supporting one another, sharing laughter, and working towards the same goal. 🌸

The friendships, the trust, the positive energy, and all the moments of joy along the way made this journey truly special. 💫

Because when people come together with a shared passion, they don't just create a performance, they create memories, connections, and something meaningful that lasts long after the final curtain falls. 🎭

And seeing our students happy, growing, and creating together is what makes it all
worthwhile. 🩰🤍

🎭 Part 4: A Chameleon Puppet? 🦎✨
❓Why a puppet? And wasn’t it a huge challenge? 😅

After watching My Neighbour Totoro The Musical in London 🇬🇧, I knew I wanted to include some kind of puppet in our show.

Since we needed an animal character in the story 🐾, we chose a chameleon because its movements would be easier for our younger dancers to interpret and bring to life on stage.
🎨 Panikos Tempriotis spent nearly two months creating Manolito, our giant chameleon puppet. The moment we saw how enormous it was, we had the crazy idea of dividing it into three separate pieces and turning its assembly into a live puzzle on stage. 🧩

That brought us to our next challenge… How could our 8–9 year olds carry and connect the three pieces smoothly when all the children had such different heights? It took a lot of experimenting, rehearsing, patience, and teamwork to make it work. 💪

Then came another challenge… 😅
We wanted the chameleon to bring the ladybugs 🐞 (our adorable 7 year olds!) onto the stage. But would they actually fit underneath it? 🤔 And what about their headpieces?

We spent countless hours adjusting, testing, and solving one problem after another 🛠️ until everything finally flowed naturally.
In the end, every bit of effort was worth it. 💖

The result was magical… and SO incredibly cute! 🥹

❓ Part 3: What does the show offer to the children? 🩰

Through these performances, children don’t just learn choreography, they develop a true love and appreciation for dance and the arts. 🤍
From the costumes and stage sets to the choreography and storytelling, they are surrounded by creativity, quality, and teamwork at every step of the journey. 🎭

🩰 Throughout the process, our students grow not only as dancers, but as individuals. They improve technically with every rehearsal and performance, and the motivation they gain from being part of such high-level productions inspires them to work harder and improve in every aspect of their performance. ✨

They learn how to handle nerves, express themselves confidently on stage, and become part of something much bigger than themselves. 💫

The high standards of our shows inspire our dancers not only in dance, but in all aspects of their lives — teaching discipline, dedication, teamwork, and pride in their achievements. 🤍

There is a special sense of pride that comes from stepping onto the stage and giving your whole heart to a performance.
And that energy, passion, and emotion is something the audience truly feels. 🤍

One of the most beautiful things about our productions is watching younger students become inspired by the older dancers. 🌸

❓Part 2: What was the biggest challenge for you?

Every production comes with its own challenges, and this year pushed us creatively, emotionally, and organisationally in many different ways. 🎭

🩰 One of the biggest artistic challenges was combining different dance styles and choreographing certain pieces together, the 4 of us as a team for the very first time.
Finding harmony between movement, music, storytelling, and emotion required endless experimenting, adjustments, and creative collaboration. 💫

🎶 Some choreographies were especially demanding because they had to capture a very specific emotional journey, moving from harmony into chaos while still feeling natural and meaningful on stage. 🤍

🎭 The set design also brought exciting challenges behind the scenes, requiring creativity, technical solutions, and careful planning in order to bring certain effects smoothly to life. 🌿

📋 Beyond the artistic side, organisation is always one of the most important and demanding parts of preparing a production.
Clear communication with parents, proper scheduling, safety, practicality, and making the entire process as smooth as possible for students, families, and teachers all require tremendous teamwork and preparation. 🤍

✨ In the end, every challenge becomes part of the journey that helps create the magic seen on stage.

🎭 Interviewing the team - Part 1 🤍
❓1st question: What procedure do you follow? 🩰

We always write our own stories when creating our shows. ✍️

Each story is built around an important message, something meaningful for both the participants and the audience. 🤍

This year’s story was written by Anastasia Temprioti 🌸
A beautiful story about the battle between good and evil.

🎭 Once the story is finalised, we begin the exciting costume search in order to bring our 30+ different roles to life.
The costumes are ordered from an American company, while the soloists’ tutus are specially designed and created here in Cyprus by the incredibly talented Marina Lyukova, a true artist. 🪡✨

🎶 Then comes one of the most important stages: the music selection.
We spend countless hours searching for pieces that inspire us, move us, and help shape the emotions of the show. 🤍

🩰 Finally, we begin choreographing, with the goal of creating something that not only excites the audience, but also helps our young dancers grow, improve, and mature through the entire process. 🌿

We carefully include elements from their exam vocabulary so they can continue developing technically and feel fully prepared for their RAD exams in the summer. 📚💫
☀️ Every morning, the whole team works together on choreography so that everything is ready to be taught during the students’ regular classes.

All preparation takes place within normal lesson hours to avoid unnecessary extra rehearsals for the families. 🤍

🎭 The final stages include a studio run-through where everything comes together, followed by spacing and general rehearsals at the theatre, costumes, lights, emotions and all. ✨
