🔴⚪ ARSENAL FANS, HELP ME UNDERSTAND THIS LOGIC… 🤔

I supported Arsenal moving on from Gabriel Martinelli and bringing in a new left winger.

Why?

Because scoring just ONE Premier League goal last season isn't enough for a player of Martinelli's quality, especially when you're trying to build a squad capable of winning everything.

But here's where I'm confused. 👀

Christos Tzolis has arrived and looks exciting. 🔥

He's been excellent early on, and I'm genuinely excited about him.

But Tzolis cannot play every three days for an entire season.

He will get tired.
He will have bad games.
He will get injured.
He will eventually need to be rested.

And when that happens…

Who is the backup?

Apparently, the answer is Eberechi Eze.

That's where I struggle.

If we decided Martinelli wasn't good enough to be Tzolis' rotation option, why is Eze suddenly good enough for that exact role? 🤔

I'm NOT saying Eze is a bad player. Far from it.

In fact, I think Eze is an excellent footballer.

But I believe his biggest value to this Arsenal team is centrally, where he can rotate with Ødegaard and give us another creative No.10.

And there's evidence for that concern: Eze has played on the left, but his best Arsenal performances have generally come when he's been used centrally.

Look at what happened against Aston Villa.

Tzolis struggled against Matty Cash and was taken off at half-time. Eze came on at left wing and immediately gave Arsenal another dimension, eventually playing a role in the move that produced Saka's winner.

That doesn't prove Eze is a better left winger than Martinelli.

It proves Eze can do a job there.

And that's an important difference.

Also, let's not rewrite history.

Martinelli wasn't suddenly useless.

Yes, his one Premier League goal was disappointing.

But he still finished last season with 11 goals and 7 assists across 53 appearances in all competitions.

So I can understand Arsenal wanting to move him on.

What I DON'T understand is selling him, losing Trossard, bringing in Tzolis… and then essentially saying:

“If Tzolis needs a rest, we'll figure something out.” 😭

At this stage, the window is basically closed, so there's no point crying about it.

Trust Tzolis. Trust Eze. Trust Arteta.

But let's be honest about the squad:

🔴 Martinelli as Tzolis' backup?
🔴 Eze as Tzolis' backup?
🔴 Or should Arsenal have signed another specialist left winger?

I want your honest answer. 👇

And please… don't answer based on vibes. 😂

WHO DO YOU TRUST AT LW WHEN TZOLIS ISN'T AVAILABLE?

Last night, Cyprus Gooners Limassol welcomed Arsenal legend Ray Parlour for an unforgettable evening of stories, laughter and celebration. 🔴⚪🏆

Ray took us back through one of the greatest eras in Arsenal history — from winning the Double in 1998, retaining the title in 2002, and of course the legendary Invincibles season of 2004.

For years, Arsenal fans have listened to Ray reminisce about those title-winning sides and what it felt like to stand on top of English football.

But this time was different.

For the first time, Ray wasn't just talking about Arsenal's league titles of 1998, 2002 and 2004. He was sitting in a room full of Gooners celebrating another one — 2026. 🍾🏆

The stories got bigger, the laughs got louder, and somewhere between Wenger tales, dressing-room banter and Invincible memories, there was a feeling that connected every Arsenal generation in the room.

From Adams and Bergkamp...To Henry and Vieira...To Saka and the champions of 2026.

A huge thank you to Ray for a brilliant evening and to everyone who joined us.

Not every fan group gets to celebrate a league title with a man who's won three of them.

1998 ❤️ 2002 ❤️ 2004 ❤️ 2026

The Arsenal way.
