⚽💜 WHAT A MORNING FOR WEST COAST UNITED LADIES! 💜⚽⚽💜

A brilliant session this morning, with Claire taking a very well-deserved Player of the Day 🏆👏 Her reading of the game was absolutely spot on and she seemed to be everywhere she needed to be!

🌟 Lil was a real star between the sticks, pulling off some cracking saves and doing a fantastic job in goal. 🧤⚽

And then… well, blimey O’Reilly! Jackie Senior SCORED! 😂⚽🙌
And not just any old goal either! Jackie’s great positioning put her in exactly the right place at exactly the right time to tuck away a cracking goal. Well done Jackie! 💜 There were witnesses. We can confirm it definitely happened. 😂💜

There was more good news off the pitch too, as our very own coach Mark Farnsworth has now officially qualified as a Tournament Referee! 🟨⬛👏 Congratulations Mark… although we’re not sure giving him even MORE authority over us was entirely sensible! 😂

After another hot, sweaty and thoroughly enjoyable session, there was only one thing left to do…

Great football, great laughs and a great bunch of ladies. 💜⚽ And Jackie… we expect goals every week now. No pressure. 😂

😂 And special mention to Viktoriya, who momentarily forgot which team she was playing for and scored a cracking own goal! 🤣⚽️

Lots of football, plenty of sweat and, as always, loads of laughs. 💜🤍

Yesterday's training was also Helen Anderson birthday 🎂
We celebrated the only way we saw fit, cake and after football refreshments at the Harris bar 🍻

☀️ Another scorcher at training on Saturday - but that didn’t stop the ladies putting in some great passing and shooting practice - thanks coach Mark Farnsworth ⚽️🔥

Our Player of the Day was Sam King, back to training for the very first time with her shiny new hip! 🏆💪 And what a comeback! Sadly, Sam is now heading back to the UK until September... and before she left, we made it absolutely, categorically and DEFINITELY clear that Martha was NOT going with her. Nice try, Sam. 🐾👀😂

It was also brilliant to have Ang back at training - and a big thank you to Scott for being roped in to help make up the numbers! 👏⚽️

Another hot, sweaty and very West Coast Saturday morning with great fun had by all! 💜🤍⚽️

Wow was it a hot one this morning! 🥵 We had a really great session despite the low numbers - we practiced our passing first and then our Messi moves and then Mark Farnsworth tried to teach us to Bend it like Beckham! 😂 Then even more shooting practice. We really benefited from some 1:1 coaching and we could all see major improvements from everyone during the session. We ended with some 4 vs 4 (with AJ in goal) games which were great fun (Lil have a rest now!) AJ was our Player of the Day and very well deserved. 👏👏👏

This mornings training is cancelled due to low numbers. See you all next week 💜

All the old and new skills were put into practice.

A huge congratulations to Claire Holman on being named 'Player of the Day' at this morning's training session! 👏💜
Claire worked tirelessly up and down the wing, showing outstanding movement and an excellent reading of the game throughout. Defensively, she was fantastic, constantly putting in the hard work to help the team, while going forward she was a real threat with some brilliant link up play and superb movement.
To top it all off, Claire showed great confidence in front of goal with some awesome shooting ⚽ Bravo 👏🙌
Great to see TC and Alex back kicking a ball too 🫶

West Coast United Vs Thames Walking Football ⚽💜
So proud of each and every one of you today! You gave it your all from start to finish, listened brilliantly and marked your players amazingly well against a very tough opposition, a team that has played together day in and day out for many, many years.
First game finished 0-0, then in the second game Thames scored right at the very end to make it 1-1 in their preferred 3-touch game. We lost 3-0 in the final game, but the scorelines doesn't reflect the effort, teamwork and attitude every single one of you showed today 💜🙌
Huge thanks as well to everyone who came and supported us today, it means so much to the team 💜👏
