Video's are worth a thousand words. - If you're not adding video to the emails you're sending university coaches, than you're not getting the amount of replies you should be.
Most coaches don't have time to spend hours every day reading through emails form student-athletes. They'll skim through them, look for the good parts - video being one of them - and usually won't return to the same email ever again.
If you play a team sport, highlight/game & skills videos are the most important tools of your recruiting strategy. Video's are what coaches want to see, NOT self-evaluations, NOT stats, but video's. Coaches want to actually see you play!
Always add video links to your emails, even if you're just updating them on your progress.
"Pictures are worth a thousand words."
If you're not adding video links within emails you send to university coaches, you're not getting the response rate you should be.
Coaches have packed schedules and they don't have time to research every student-athlete that sends them an email.. Most emails are quickly read through and never returned to again.
As a team athlete, the video is the most important part of your emails to coaches. That is what coaches want to see. Not a self-evaluation, not a bunch of statistics, they want to see you actually play or do a skill.
Always add video links when emailing coaches, even if you're just updating them on your progress.
