I have an open question from Indian Community
๐จ Please spread and answer this Message ๐จ
My questions are directed to the Government of India, the Indian people including cricket and non cricket fans as well as the ICC and BCCI
Why do you allow the Afghanistan Cricket Board to play Taliban associated songs, known as Islamic Tarana, the poetry of radicalism during cricket events played on Indian soil?
The Taliban is a terrorist organisation. Its songs and propaganda have often been used to glorify its ideology, violence and militant struggle. So why has the Taliban been allowed to enter Afghan cricket to such an extent? And why do the ICC, BCCI and other cricket boards appear to look the other way?
There is another important question for the Government and people of India:
If India does not recognise the Taliban as the legitimate government of Afghanistan, why does India continue to provide such a significant international platform through which Taliban associated ideology can be presented to millions of people?
During the current series, a particular song was played hundred times. I am sharing the link to the song in the first comment. The song reportedly contains a phrase that curses or condemns republican forms of government. Translate them to the end please.
India itself is a republic. So where are your government, intelligence agencies and relevant authorities when such material is allegedly being played at an international sporting event on Indian soil?
This is not a question about Afghan cricketers or the Afghan people. Afghan athletes and ordinary Afghans should not be held responsible for the Talibanโs ideology.
The question is about allowing political or extremist propaganda to enter an international sporting environment.
If this is genuinely happening, who approved it? Who reviewed the lyrics? Did the BCCI know about it? Did the ICC know about it? And what policies exist to prevent extremist or militant propaganda from being promoted at international cricket events?
This is not diplomacy, friendship or humanity. Then what should we call it?
The Indian government, BCCI and ICC should provide a clear explanation.
