From whiteboard to wave!

A short shakedown before the holidays – and the first time this prototype actually touched water.

No overlays yet. No polished outputs.
But a lot of things quietly validated:
– the system is fully surfable
– waterproofing holds
– pressure sensors behave as expected
– the end-to-end workflow works in real conditions

With the wave pool reopening, we’re heading into proper testing next.
This is where assumptions turn into signal.

If you want to follow along as this turns into real feedback and real progression, you can sign up to the newsletter via the link in bio.

Most surf tech stops at tracking.
TRAX goes further – by actually helping you surf better.

No more vague “you need to flow more.”
No more guessing why you lost speed on that turn.
Just clear, objective insights – and feedback you can act on.

We combine pressure and motion data (25+ times per second), compare it to pro-level technique, and give you:

- Real-time feedback
- Session breakdowns
- Drills that fix exactly what’s off in your surfing

Here’s how it works – and how it’ll help you progress faster than ever.

I’m building a sensor that helps you actually get better. Would love your feedback.

Whether you’re just figuring out how to hold your rail through a turn or you’re throwing serious spray, improving your surfing is hard – especially if you’re not surfing every day or don’t have someone giving you feedback.

That’s exactly why I’m building TRAX.

It’s a two-part sensor system:
- A pressure sensor in a traction pad
- A motion sensor that mounts to your board

Together, they track how you move, how your weight shifts, and where your flow breaks down. Then it compares your technique against pro-level or ideal reference patterns – and gives you breakdowns on what’s working, what’s not, and how to improve. There’s also surf-skate drills and land-based training tied to your actual data.

I’m still early in the build (not selling anything yet – just trying to validate and shape it), but the prototype is working well on land and getting strong feedback from testers.

If you’re even remotely interested in something like this, I’d love for you to check out the early access page:

Every sign-up helps me figure out who this is really for – and which features to prioritize.

Ask me anything. Feedback is very welcome.
