Unter seiner außergewöhnlichen Führung, Vision und Hingabe hat sich der Kiel Cricket Club zu dem entwickelt, was er heute ist. Ohne ihn hätte Cricket in Kiel niemals dieses Niveau erreicht und KHTC würde in seiner heutigen Form nicht existieren.

🔥 EIN NEUES KAPITEL BEGINNT

Der Kiel Cricket Club freut sich außerdem, unseren neuen Vorsitzenden Chaitanya herzlich willkommen zu heißen, der ab dem 01.04.2026 die Rolle übernehmen wird.

Chaitanya ist seit vielen Jahren ein engagiertes Vorstandsmitglied und hat die Entwicklung des Vereins aktiv mitgestaltet. Seine Leidenschaft, sein Engagement und seine Vision machen ihn zur idealen Person, um das Vermächtnis von Akbar Bhai weiterzuführen.

Wir blicken voller Vorfreude in die Zukunft und sind überzeugt, dass KHTC unter seiner Führung weitere große Erfolge feiern wird.

Kiel Cricket Club proudly expresses its deepest gratitude to Akbar Bhai, our chairman for decades the man behind the foundation, the growth, and the identity of KHTC.

Under his extraordinary leadership, vision, and dedication, Kiel Cricket Club has become what it is today. Without him, cricket in Kiel would not have reached this level and KHTC would not exist in its current strength and spirit.

🏏 Historic Achievements under his leadership:
• Qualification to the Bundesliga 2024
• Establishment of one of the best cricket facilities in Northern Germany

But beyond achievements, he built something even greater a family, a culture, and a future for cricket in Kiel.

We cannot thank him enough.

🔥 A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS

Kiel Cricket Club is also proud to announce and warmly welcome our new Chairman, Chaitanya, who will officially take over from 01.04.2026.

Chaitanya has been a dedicated board member for many years and has played an
role in the club’s journey. His passion, commitment, and vision make him the perfect person to carry forward Akbar Bhai’s incredible legacy.

We are excited about the future and confident that under his leadership, KHTC will achieve even greater milestones.

We are happy to announce that for the upcoming 2026 season, Izatullah Dawlatzai – former Afghanistan and German national team player – will be playing for Kiel Cricket Club.

Izatullah has represented Afghanistan at the ICC T20 World Cup and Germany at international level, bringing with him a wealth of experience, quality, and leadership.

With his addition to the squad, our title challenge becomes even stronger, and we are very much looking forward to his performances for the Men in Yellow in Northern Germany.

DCB T20 Bundesliga 2025 Showdown! 🔥
MSC Frankfurt clinched a commanding 49-run victory over Kiel Lions at KHTC Kiel! After posting 152/9 in 20 overs, led by Mohammad Hassan Khan’s blazing 43 off 26 and Muslim Yar Ashraf’s composed 39, MSC Frankfurt’s bowlers turned up the heat. Shahid Afridi was electric with the ball, grabbing 3 wickets for just 11 runs, while Fayaz Khan Nasseri and Muslim Yar Ashraf chipped in with 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Kiel Lions, despite a fiery 29 off 12 from Musaddiq Ahmed, were bowled out for 103 in 16 overs. A brilliant all-round performance from MSC Frankfurt! 💪🏏
