--- Born and raised in Mexico City, Nuri started practicing yoga when she was 18. Wanting to give back, she started teaching yoga on 2009.
Growing up with an ecologist as her mother and around her father’s music, she learned from a young age to do whatever she could to be of service to all living beings. She is forever grateful to her mother for teaching her the importance of having a compassionate and giving heart. To this day, she has attended several teacher trainings including two focusing on Ashtanga Vinyansa Yoga and another le
d by her teachers Bindu de la Parra and Jim Bernaert. It was in 2012 that she fulfilled her dream of becoming a certified Jivamukti Yoga Teacher (300 hrs+) guided by the hand of her beloved teachers whom, to this day, continue to be an ever-flowing source of inspiration for her. For two years she ran her own Yoga studio in Mexico, Sharanam Yoga Shala, which she left to fulfil yet another dream by traveling through India and Europe offering her classes and studying with her teachers. She considers herself to be always a student first. As her wonderful teacher Twiggy Romero taught her: always keep a beginner's way of experiencing your practice and life, welcoming a sense of wonder. If there is one thing to say about Nuri’s classes, it's that they are filled with light from her joyful spirit. Her colourful way of seeing life shines through as she raises the bar for all of the students while providing options for everyone. She is an expert in keeping things interesting, so you will always have a good time.
