🌍 EUROPEANS GO WORLDS! 🇪🇸⛵️

During the Hobie Europeans in France, Juan Antonio Llabrés gave us an exciting presentation of the next Hobie Worlds in Spain! 🇪🇸

With huge anticipation, sailors gathered to watch and listen to the presentation and the excitement is already building!

🚀 For the Hobie Cat 16 teams who would like to come early at the venue there will also a Warm up regatta with registration on the 29th June and racing from the 30 June to the 2 July, including also a long distance race!

We’re already looking forward to an unforgettable Hobie event, celebrating everything and we welcome sailors from around the world for some exciting Hobie racing.

🏆 Back-to-back Dinsdale Trophy winner!

For the second year in a row, Dan Borg takes the HC14 Euro Cup – Dinsdale Trophy! ⛵🔥

Three events, three different venues — Cesenatico 🇮🇹, Bostalsee 🇩🇪 and the Hobie Europeans in Maubuisson 🇫🇷 — brought the HC14 fleet together throughout the season to fight for the 2026 title.

Final day of the 2026 Hobie Multi Europeans in Maubuisson, France.

Another severe thunderstorm swept through Maubuisson during the night, setting the stage for a dramatic final day.

By morning, everything had changed once again. Temperatures had dropped, the wind had strengthened, and with the championship still wide open, the Race Committee made the decision to start early — aiming to complete four races in each fleet.

What followed was one of the most unpredictable days of the championship.

Rain. Wind. Sunshine. Calm. Thunderstorms. Rainbows. And then back again. 🌧️💨☀️⛈️🌈

The conditions seemed to change by the minute, forcing sailors to constantly adapt while the Race Committee worked tirelessly to make the most of every possible racing opportunity.

Despite the challenging weather, the fleets kept pushing, fighting for every place right until the very end.

After four intense days of racing, the 2026 European Champions were finally crowned. 🏆

🇦🇺 Familiar faces, same passion for the Hobie Europeans!

Cameron Owen & Susan Ghent are back in France, where they claimed their first European title in 2019, before winning again in 2024 and 2025. 🏆

They keep coming back for the high-level racing, the competition and, of course, to catch up with friends from across the Hobie family. 🧡

This year also has an extra goal: getting ready for the 2027 Hobie Worlds in Spain. 🇪🇸

Today the weather Gods were just not on the Hobie sailor’s side in Maubuisson. 🌦️⛵️

After a thunderstorm during the night, temperatures dropped significantly. Following an initial wait at the Club, all HC14 and HC16 Open fleets finally headed to the starting line around noon. With a light breeze, everyone left the beach full of optimism and excitement.

But as soon as the fleets arrived on the course, the wind completely disappeared. After waiting patiently on the water, it became clear that there simply wasn’t enough wind to race. The entire fleet eventually returned to shore to wait it out. 🌬️➡️😴

After the final announcement of a very sweaty race day without a single race completed, everyone is now looking forward to a great dinner evening at the European Championship Dinner sponsored by the a Club.

The forecast for tomorrow promises significantly more wind. Fingers crossed we can make up for everything we missed today! 🤞💨

Another racing day at the 2026 Hobie Europeans! 🌊⛵️

The HC14 successfully completed four races, while the Hobie Gold and Silver Fleets managed three, with the final race being abandoned due to a drop of the wind.

The day started with a solid breeze of around 14 knots, but the wind gradually faded throughout the afternoon — and kept shifting constantly. Tricky. Challenging. And definitely a test of both sailors and strategy. 💨

With a strong thunderstorm forecast for tonight, the sailors made sure their boats were secured and everything was safely stowed away.

After sailing, the sailors were welcomed on the club terrace with a local w**e tasting. 🍷 Those who fancied it could enjoy w**es from the famous Bordeaux region alongside the legendary after-sail b**r. 🍺

A challenging day on the water, followed by a well-deserved evening ashore. Simply the Hobie way of life 😎⛵️✨
