YOURE GONNA HAVE TO LOVE THE S**T
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Realistically, training hurts
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Being in a calorie deficit is gonna make you hungry sometimes
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Some days you’re just not gonna be feeling it
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you put everything on the idea that you’re one day gonna make it, achieve your dreams, have the body you’ve always wanted and never be sad again one you’re never gonna get there and two every single day until that point is gonna be a struggle bus
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The art is in celebrating before there’s anything to be celebrated
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s in finding the small wins in the every day
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Building your identity around the pillars of success. Making it an every day thing rather than a once thing
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You don’t have to overhaul your life in one day
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Just pick something as small as drinking more water and then do it. Every day. Not in order for it to make you leaner, or better or stronger. But in order that you drink more water. Every day.

I’ve been there too.
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tired, burnt out. Sick of hating what I saw in the mirror. Of not knowing where I was going wrong. I felt like I’d tried everything.
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What if you could guarantee results. Look and, more importantly, feel better than you’ve ever thought possible
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The fact is, doing the same things is gonna get you nothing but the same results.
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There’s nothing wrong with you, your metabolism isn’t slow and you’re not lazy
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All you need is structure, accountability, and direction
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Those three things will springboard you to results you never dreamt of. In the mirror, you’ll not only see a strong, lean body. But a person who is capable of great things. Life changing things.

WHY I DONT SELL TRANSFORMATION PLANS
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If someone offered you a 90 day laundry transformation to transform your washing basket to empty forever, you’d quite rightly think they were mental
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Fitness is no different
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you get a 30, 90 or 180 day plan detailing your intake and training to the second, the second that time period is up, what are you gonna do? Probably go back to how you were living before
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is why I believe in understanding the principles behind the methods. That way you can implement then in your life in the way that works at any given time
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That’s not to say you’re not gonna have periods where you’re training or dieting more intensely than others
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Or that you can’t try different methods for a period of time
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(Even I had a chicken and broccoli in tupperware phase. The smell got to me eventually)
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
BUT if you don’t understand the why behind it then what do you do at the end of the 6, 12 or 18 weeks? Probably go back to how you were living before and end up at square one again
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All your hard work wasted
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Instead, learn widely, implement what works and discard what doesn’t
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

There is no exercise or plan that’s FOR fat loss (especially not burpees)
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You will lose fat doing literally anything (or nothing) provided you’re in a calorie deficit
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Put simply, taking in less calories than you’re expending
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The methods of doing this are numerous and I refuse to simply say “eat less” because that insults both of our intelligence
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Each method is simply a means to achieve the same outcome, though
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are 5 things to start with:
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Eat more protein
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Drink more water
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sleep 8 hours
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Lift some weights
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Go outside more
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Getting in depth on these is where it gets fun but trust me you can’t go far wrong starting basic
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you consistently do those 5 things and don’t see a change in your mind and body, then you’re not doing them

ONE STEP TO HUGE CALVES (like me)
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you’re walking in the gym with no idea what you’re there for, you’re not gonna get anywhere
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Kind of like if you get in the car with no idea where you’re going
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You might get somewhere
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But how are you gonna know if it’s where you wanted to go if you didn’t even know where you wanted to go in the first place
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is a very long winded metaphor
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Basically, you need a plan
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You’re not gonna get fit in one day
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But over lots of days, if you take the right action consistently, then you will
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Kind of like if you take lots of steps in random directions you’ll probably end up around where you started
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But if you take loads of steps in the direction you want to get then you’ll end up where you wanted to go   ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ok I’m done with the metaphors
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(This applies whether your goal is massive calves or not)
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(Pls tell me my calves look massive I need the validation)

The traditional perception of a personal trainer is a drill sergeant who stands over you barking orders and counting down from 10. (If I told you how many times we lose count and just say 3 more despite having no idea how many you’ve done you wouldn’t believe me.)
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If that’s all your PT does, get a new one.
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s from this perception that I get asked often, how can you coach online??
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Well, look at it like this
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You’re where you are, and you know where you want to go, you’re just not sure how exactly to get there
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So you hire someone who does know
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Someone who knows how to make you feel more confident, not get gassed walking up the stairs, how to make you stronger, leaner, less scared of the weights section
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Someone who can bridge the gap between who you are now and who you want to become
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Someone who can help you to light the fire within you, so you don’t need shouting at, so you don’t need your balls busted to even turn up to the gym
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That person can provide you with actionable
steps and processes in order to achieve the desired outcome
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That person is your coach aka me
  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Getting fit before going gym is like…eating before going out for dinner.

Like why
 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I promise you nobody cares how much you’re lifting or how much you weigh
 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The gym is there for the gainz
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
No point waiting til you’re quote unquote in shape to go
 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Because I promise you you will never ever be in the correct shape you want to be in
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
No number on the scale or on the bar will make you eternally happy and at peace
 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There’s always the next, there’s always lighter or heavier or faster
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And the guy with biceps the size of the moon is stress that he missed his top set squat
 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Trust me he hasn’t looked at you once
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Walking in with a sense of direction, a plan to get you from a to b is gonna get rid of that niggling feeling that you shouldn’t be there
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You wouldn’t just stumble about in the wilderness with no map or compass, well you might but you’re not gonna get anywhere and you’ll be scared of getting lost/eaten by a bear
 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A plan is a map, a direction, a north star if you will
 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Define where you’re going and how to get there
 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
