ONE MONTH TO GO!!!
In just one month, swimmers from more and more countries will arrive in Copenhagen to take on something that is honestly a little crazy:
42, 30, 24, 12 or 6 hours of swimming 1500 meter loops.
And we absolutely cannot wait.
As organizers, it’s pretty wild to think about what’s ahead.
More than 70 swimmers.
Daylight. Sunset. Darkness. Sunrise again.
Cold water. Tired bodies. Big smiles. Tough moments.
Some participants will swim through one night.
Some through two.
At some point during the event, almost everyone will have that moment where getting back into the water suddenly feels like a really bad idea.
And then they do it anyway.
That’s probably what impresses us the most.
Not the distance itself.
But the willingness to continue when the body starts asking questions.
To everyone training right now:
We hope things are going well out there. We know many of you are putting in some serious work at the moment, and we honestly can’t wait to welcome you all very soon.
Some of you already on June 19.
Most of you on June 20–21.
It’s getting close now…
We choose the water.
No matter the distance.

A tribute to all Neptuners.
This brand new Neptune Trident will be visible at our venue all 42 hours - in clear daylight and enlightened during night hours.
We expect Neptuners to pay their humble respect to the Trident, as this tribute celebrates your glory as you swim along.
We promise you a fantastic venue - and this Trident will crown it.
We choose water.
No matter the distance.

We’re proud to welcome ZOGGS as part of Neptune Challenge 2026.
A collaboration we’re genuinely excited about — not just because ZOGGS knows water, swimmers and performance, but because they bring something extra to the edge of our event.
Neptune Challenge is built around distance, discipline, community and the quiet madness of choosing the water again and again.
And with ZOGGS on board, we get to add another strong layer to that story.
We look forward to sharing more about the collaboration soon — and especially to showing what we’ve been working on together when race day arrives in about six weeks.
Good things are coming.
We choose the water.
No matter the distance.

The venue on a calm Sunday less than 2 months before. Imagine the atmosphere of more than 60 swimmers doing their laps. We are so much looking forward to Neptune Challenge. Something spectacular is on the move😂.
Also, we now count participants from 11 countries, including Denmark. 8 European countries (🇪🇪🇫🇷🏴🏴🇳🇴🇫🇮🇵🇱🇩🇪) and 2 Northern American countries (🇺🇸🇨🇦. This is really awesome.
Stay focused, continue your training 💪.
We choose the water, no matter the distance.

TWO MONTHS TO GO
In two months, Neptune Challenge begins.
42X
30X
24X
12X
6X..... 1500 meters.
This is not just another swim event.
For the longest distances, it starts at night.
You swim into the morning.
Through the day.
And back into the night again.
That is what makes this race different.
That is what makes it special.
And that is why the work starts now.
We choose the water. No matter the distance.
If you want to stand on that start line ready, this is the moment to train.
Build endurance.
Build strength.
Build the mindset the distance will ask from you.
Because when the race begins, there is no shortcut.
Only the work you have done.
And the water ahead.
Two months....
...the countdown is on.

Bit by bit, Neptune Challenge is coming together.
This weekend gave us one of those small but important reminders: Neptune Challenge is taking shape.
In the sunshine, with proper spring energy in the air, we spent time testing parts of the setup for the event. Tents, the finish gate, and the structure that will carry the timing pads for electronic registration. The kind of practical details that may not steal the spotlight, but matter a great deal when you want an event to feel solid from start to finish.
It was also just a really good day. Good weather, good people, and that special feeling of seeing things move from idea to reality.
So here are a few snapshots from the weekend and from the work behind the scenes. Bit by bit, Neptune Challenge is coming together.

Hi guys.
Normally we do not inform about new participants to this summer's Neptune Challenge. However, we are so thrilled, that a former Olympic champion 🥇will take part in our fantastic event. So we just had to tell you♥️.
German swimmer Florian Wellbrock has just registered for the 30 hour challenge. Apparently 42 hours is too much for this amazing open water swimmer🥳.
Florian took gold at the 2020 summer Olympics on the 10 km. He also was the holder of the world record on the 1.500 m. on short course. He is really one of the biggest stars in all of the Open Water world.
So we expect records to be broken in Copenhagen this upcoming June. 30 times 1.500 m. sub 15 minutes. Simply, wow.
No participants usually stand out at Neptune Challenge, since everyone is amazing. However, sometimes participants do stand out. And Florian does.

ENJOY THE GOODIEBAG - SPONSOR ANNOUNCEMENT
We’re incredibly happy to announce that some fantastic partners are coming on board to support this year’s event — and we’re kicking things off with a brand we’re truly excited about.
☀️ P20 is joining us as an official partner.
For those of us who spend hours in the water, sun protection is not just a nice-to-have — it’s essential. P20 is known for producing some of the most durable, water-resistant sunscreen on the market, designed to stay effective even during long sessions in the sea.
And yes — every participant will find P20 sunscreen in their goodie bag when we kick off the event at the end of June.
Because when you’re swimming long distances under the open sky, protection matters.
The Neptune Challenge is becoming something special — and we’re grateful to have brands that share our passion for open water, endurance, and the ocean community.
More partner announcements coming soon… 🌊
We choose water, no matter the distance.

Look at this.
This is not just wetsuits and swim caps.
This is courage.
This is grit.
This is what happens when people choose the open water -together.
We don’t train for comfort.
We train for the line we’re about to cross.
Are you ready?

Hey all Neptuners.
The planning of Neptune Challenge is running smoothly. As you might have noticed we are now primarily communicating in English since our event has turned into an international event. We have participants from 7 other countries than Denmark. We are extremely proud of this.
We guarantee you all a very cool event and very nice venue. As the number of participants is rising we are also making sure that there is enough space for everybody's tents. You are now 55 Neptuners, but we know more are coming. Also it is among our goals that each swimmer will experience no problems especially in the start of each round during the event. So we will make contact with all participants in the coming months in order to get to know each swimmer 1.500 m time, so we can group swimmers in heats of almost same time.
In the next months we will also present several sponsors that have shown us support in creating a really cool event. We are really proud in working together with these sponsors. The sponsors support us in creating a special event that meets international standards.
Also the development of our own Neptune Challenge electronic timing system is running accordingly. Our goal is to provide live results from each swimmer's swim time of every 1.500 m. Every participant (and friends and family elsewhere) will be able to see swim times as swimmers leave the water but also online. It has been pretty difficult to develop, but we are getting really close.
For now, you all have to start your training. June 20-21 is not far away.
