1:31:07 at - a 6-minute PB improvement, but still 1 minute shy of my goal. Another great running experience nonetheless. 🤩

Beautiful (but tough) route, great atmosphere, nice weather and lesson learned to not try outrunning the 1:30 pacers already from the 15k point. Paid the price for that at the end 😅🙈

Everyone not just accepting their role on the team, but actually living it by bringing their 100% into every little detail for the benefit of the team. Couldn’t ask for more. Proud. 🙏🏻🇩🇰

Also proud to see delivering at such a high level off court. Well done to all of our event staff, but definitely also the city of Horsens and of course all the volunteers. 🙏🏻

Lastly also a big shout out to our Uber Cup team for a great campaign as well. To feel the excitement and optimism in the entire Danish camp during the group phase where both teams made it through was just fantastic! 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰

I år er det 10 år siden vi mistede min far pga. kræft.

At mangle sin far er et afsavn jeg aldrig helt tror forsvinder. Selvom det ikke er fordi det fylder ret meget for mig i hverdagen længere, så rammer det lidt ekstra hver gang Vincent nævner at “han er ked af han aldrig nåede at møde farfar” 😢

Derfor er jeg stadig engageret i at gøre en indsats for at kæmpe mod denne sygdom. For at færre børn skal miste deres far for tidligt. For at færre børnebørn skal miste muligheden for at møde deres bedsteforældre. Ja, egentlig bare for at færre mennesker skal opleve den ulykke det er, at miste en de har kært for tidligt.

Final session as coach for the Hvidovre Badminton Club done today! 😔

Been 3 great years coaching and playing at this amazing club with so many wonderful people. Thanks so much to all the players, coaching colleagues, volunteers, sponsors and everyone else around the club for making it a memorable time. 🙏🏻

As it’s always sad to leave a place you’re happy to be at, I’m very happy to keep being just a regular member there next year. I still love to play and train myself, so although it will be much less next season, I’m glad it’s still possible! 🏸

I’m also very excited to move on to what’s next on the coaching side which is of course going full time into the head coaching role of men’s singles at the national team. 🤩

I’ve been there since the start of the year in a part time role, which has grown into more and more hours. But with juggling 2-3 other jobs at the same time, it’s also been stressful at times.

So first of all it’s now time for a one week holiday to recharge and then I’ll be ready to give my best to help maintain the proud traditions in Danish men’s singles for the future.

Kampen mod kræft har ligget mig meget nært siden min far blev ramt af sygdommen for efterhånden mange år siden. Han har desværre ikke været hos os siden sommeren 2016, men landsindsamlingen er blevet en ny tradition for os til at mindes ham. 🥰

Når man stemmer dørklokker for at samle ind, møder man så mange mennesker der selv har været berørt af kræft på den ene eller anden måde. Det er ufatteligt hvor mange denne sygdom påvirker og derfor føles det ekstra godt at kunne gøre bare en lille forskel for at kunne sikre endnu bedre behandling i fremtiden. 😇
