The previously announced Baltic Futsal Cup Lithuania is cancelled, but the Baltic Futsal League is true to its word, which it gave to the head coach of the Lithuanian national team Yevgeny Ryvkin.

The Lithuanian national team continues to prepare for the home World Cup, and the coaching staff is in a constant working process, looking at potential candidates for the main international event of the year. One of the most important components of this process was to be the Baltic Futsal Cup Lithuania, where Yevgeny Ryvkin planned to test the candidates for the national team in the most competitive conditions. However, the Latvian Football Federation, for not very clear reasons, prohibited the participation of the RSU/BAO from Dobele, as a result of which the tournament was canceled, and the friendlies of the Lithuanian national team became questionable.
Nevertheless, the Baltic Futsal League remains true to its word, and despite all the difficulties, the friendlies that are so necessary for the Lithuanians will take place. The team made up of the lithuanian leading clubs players (Zalgiris, Gargzdu Pramogos, Jonavos Vikingai, Vip and Siauliai) will travel to Estonia this weekend, where they will hold two sparring matches against a team made up of players from Cosmos Tallinn and Narva United! Players from the visiting team have the best chances to get into the Lithuanian national team and show their futsal skills to the whole world in the fall!

BALTIC FUTSAL CUP LITHUANIA: THE MAIN INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT OF THE SUMMER!

We are proud to announce that on June 25, the Baltic Futsal Cup Lithuania, which will be provided by Baltic Futsal Marketing will take place in Jonava, Lithuania. Four teams from three Baltic countries will take part in the tournament: Cosmos and Narva United from Estonia, RSU/BAO from Latvia and the Lithuanian national team. For the Lithuanians, this tournament is the next step in the system of preparation for the home World Cup, which will be held next fall. Within three days, the teams will hold a round-robin tournament, the winner of which will be awarded with a cup and memorable prizes.

LNFS-BFL: Agreement is signed!
Baltic Futsal Marketing Company confirms that on June 3, 2021 in Madrid, at the office of the LNFS, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the most famous and successful futsal organization in the world – Liga Nacional de Futbol Sala and the Baltic Futsal League.
The memorandum was signed by president of the LNFS, one of the most influential leaders of the futsal world – Javier Lozano. On behalf of the BFL, the agreement was signed by the president of the league, Boriss Shipunov. The main points of the agreement are joint actions in promoting the sport in the Baltic States, including educational, methodological, competitive, marketing and communication activities.
The parties agreed that the most important joint work condition for the benefit of the futsal development in the region will be strict compliance with the program of cooperation in the coaching courses for children's, youth and adult teams. In addition, both organizations will promote each other on mutually beneficial terms at national and international competitions, using logos, materials, links and media content.
The agreement is signed for 3 years with an extension option. The text of the agreement will be published on all media resources of the BFL shortly.

With Javier’s message in mind, Futsal Focus engages with world futsal, and in developing Futsal nations we are regularly asked by leagues and clubs ‘how do we get to the level of Spain?’ Many of these people want to achieve this goal in 5 years or 10 years, and at times they become frustrated when our reply is ‘That goal is not realistic, unless you have wealthy investors ready to launch a franchise league and have the money to develop a market.’ Many of these nations don’t even have a recreational market yet or a high level of amateur delivery of the sport across the board.
The league and club development steps are the following:
1. Amateurism
2. Professional amateurism
3. Semi-professional
4. Professional
Each of these stages develop due to a growing market, and the collective development of the leagues and clubs so they rise together into each level. At each level clubs and leagues will start to know where they are in their development and where they want to stay.

Javier Lozano - President of LNFS- Introduces LNFS England 11/05/2021

Recently LNFS England has published an article featuring the President of the Liga Nacional de Futbol Sala (LNFS), Javier Lozano, who welcomed the English futsal community into the LNFS family with a video message. LNFS England clubs don’t make up the whole of the English futsal community, but what he means is, the clubs involved and any club who wants to learn from their experience.
In the video, Javier outlines how the LNFS intends to assist LNFS England and its clubs to develop the sport of futsal from the grassroots up. However, in Futsal Focus’ view, the most important point he made in the video is the following:
“Go little by little, and focus your efforts on the most urgent goals, and carefully develop an action plan. Nothing changes in 10 minutes and bear in mind that it took us over 32 years to get to where we are now!”

With the championship going on, the efforts of the Baltic Futsal Marketing team made the BFL to become widely recognized in the media space: the views of live broadcasts and review programs were steadily growing, and in just three months from the starting match, the number of views of video content in total exceeded 100 thousand. There were many things helping to achieve this number and not the last of them was active social networks skillfully stirring up interest in the League: not only statistics of matches, topical interviews and expert assessments were promptly published on the official resources of the project, but there was also a place for thematic entertainment publications that appealed to amateurs of futsal. Given the multinationality of the Baltic Futsal League, everything was posted not only on resources familiar to European audiences, but also on platforms typical of audiences from Russia and Belarus. One of the most important and unique features of the BFL is the collection and subsequent analysis of all the actions and movements performed by the players on the field. Professional analysts from InStat sliced and diced each match and made it possible for coaches and players to receive a huge amount of useful information not only about their individual and team actions, but also about their opponents’ movements. When coaches took hold of such reports, they turned them into a real tactical weapon in preparation for matches. Besides, detailed statistics were available to the fans - after each match, not only the main indicators (goals, violations, etc.) were published on the league resources, but it also showed detailed data on the number of single combats won, accurate passes and even successful dribbles. It has never been so easy to see which of the players was the most helpful on the field!

To the credit of the organizers of the BFL, they are looking ahead: the second season is not far off and it is promised to become brighter and more significant than the first one. In the meantime, we can summarize preliminary results:

First, the BFL took place, confirming its importance with a rhythmic calendar and the desire of participants to play without compromise. Fans got used to the new competition on the football calendar and voted for the League by watching matches and highlights on social media. The round figure of 100 thousand is proof of this.

Secondly, now the Baltic countries have real football in its indoor interpretation. Despite the decent difference in points between the leaders and outsiders of the League, no one did have heart to call the guys from "Rezekne" and "Gargzdai" as suppliers of points: every player wanted to beat the others and did everything possible to win. The audience loves this dynamics, the organizers like it and use it to see the prospects for further cooperation of the League with current and future partners.

Thirdly, the league's managerial staff has a clear image of the directions for the growth of both the sports and organizational components, as the clubs are already expressing interest in further development.

The very first round outlined the perspective champions; the strongest teams were the leaders of the Lithuanian futsal - the "Vityaz" team, the St. Petersburg’s team and the professional team from Belarus with the magnificent star of mini-football Brazilian Beto. The teams reached the equator of the tournament - the March matches - without dramatic and unexpected results; and the championship in the last two or three rounds were divided among these three teams. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has made fatal changes in the rhythmic sports life of the entire world, and tournament was first suspended, and following the results of the August meeting of representatives of all clubs participating in the BFL, it was closed.
