Here is a post about the old Rayne deck which is now great again! The deck is a bit too rigid and heavy for a daily but it sure is a good variance at times.

The wheel wells turned out real deep and pretty but the indies and 74mm wheels still cause the rears to bite a bit.

Most difficult part of the build was cutting the bamboo as I burned down a bunch of jigsaw blades. Then I tried the blades that are meant for cutting metal sheets and those blades finally did the job.

The original Rayne totem graphics is a true eyecatcher and the intarsia griptape is my idea🙂

Here you have a timelapse of the final assembly… all the pieces are finally finished! I removed the hood scoop as it disturbed the rining dynamics. Now I need to figure out which griptape layout I should use so it would remind of the classic musclecar paintwork… perhaps some winding stripes. Have to figure this out next.
