Have you heard of the “one negative thought per day” technique?
How is that possible? Does it mean that I am walking around being incessantly happy and irritatingly upbeat? No. Let me explain.
I’m pretty much already aware of what’s wrong in the world or what isn’t working in my life, so I don’t need to think about all those things, dwell on them or obsess about them. 1. I have one thought that I allow to have importance. It may be one that affects how I am with people, impacts my future, or pops up on a consistent basis. That is usually the thought or emotion that is speaking out to me. It deserves attention! 2. I take that one negative thought and I allow myself to complain about it. I feel okay complaining about it because I know that it will be my only one negative thought. 3. I delve into it. I find out why it is upsetting me, how it impacts my decisions, if there is a deeper meaning behind it, and what that thought is trying to teach me. 4. I usually get a sense of satisfaction or relief, and if not, that’s ok too, it wasn’t it’s time yet.
People who do not allow themselves the time to focus on their negative thoughts are denying themselves their emotions. They walk around with an artificial smile and they may even make other people happy all the time, but they will never truly get to experience true happiness because they aren’t opening up fully to their emotions. They’ve created a shell and inside it they are either sad, angry or emotionally numb.

The great thing about this technique is when other negative thoughts try to pop up you can tell yourself you’ve already had your negative thought so you can save it for another day. If it’s truly that important it will happen anyways, and you can take the time out to go through the same process with it.

If you want to be able to lift up your little one or grand-little one without worry - you need to be doing this.
Ladies, we’re starting next Friday in my core and pelvic floor fitness class that will highlight problems that women face which can improve with exercise. This class aims to reconnect you to the many muscles that make up your pelvic floor and core and get them moving as a trained and well maintained unit. Way beyond kegels, we will use that unit to add strength to the primal movements you need to be doing daily. Who wants a six pack when you can learn to sneeze without peeing, minimise pelvic discomfort, protect your low back, and have regular bowel movements?

Children’s Clothing Swap
1-5 pm on Saturday the 28th.
I am making a clothing swap event for children’s clothing. Everybody can bring the clothing they no longer need and take what they like for free. This is a free community building event. It’s an opportunity to thin out your closet and get items that your children need. (Not for selling or obtaining stock)
It will be at Tacos restaurant on Al Fanar street in lighthouse. They will have some refreshments and light snacks for purchase for you and your children.
Let’s have a fun time.
Please DM to arrange to drop off the clothing you no longer use. Clothing, shoes and small baby blankets will be accepted.

Some of you may have guessed what I’ve been up to lately. I couldn’t believe it was happening. Everything I’ve dreamed of for years.
I’m about to share with you some Of the techniques that prepared me for this stage in my life. What have I done to keep my sense of self, amongst everything that has changed incredibly.
I chose to breathe, big shock there.
I chose to give myself permission to let go.
I chose to make my own sanctuary by being who I knew I truly wanted to be both in the birth of my first child and in life.
