📚🇪🇬 History Beneath the Surface 🤿🪖

Have you dived at Ras Peter (often known as “Tank Reef”)? 🌊

Scattered across the seabed lie dozens of old military vehicles — not actually tanks, but mostly British-made carriers and trucks dating back to the mid-20th century.
While many stories surround them, the most widely accepted explanation is that they were deliberately pushed into the sea after the Sinai conflicts, likely as part of clearing abandoned or obsolete equipment.

There’s no confirmed record of exactly who carried it out or when — and that mystery only adds to the atmosphere of the site 👀

Swimming between these silent machines is a powerful reminder that the Red Sea doesn’t just hold incredible marine life… it also holds pieces of human history, resting quietly below the surface.
