Eritrea is taking part at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympic Games 2026 through Shanon Abeda. An alpine skier, he is the first to represent Eritrea in alpine skiing events in 2018 Winter Olympics. The Eritrean National Olympic Committe wishes success on his endevours.

The Eritrean National Olympic Committee congratulates Paulos Weldehaimanot for being elected as the new President of the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) convened today February 07. 2026 in Dijibouti. Currently serving as the President of the Eritrean National Football Federation (ENFF), his candidacy to the post went unoppsed. The CECAFA Elective General Assembly attended by the 11 Member Associations is graced by FIFA, CAF and other stakeholders.
