Bobby Fischer was born on this day in 1943. He is considered one of the greatest World Champions in history. Some of his incredible achievements include:

- Won his first US Championship at 14!
- Played in 8 US Championships and won ALL 8 by at least 1 point margin!
- Won the US Championship in 1964 at age 20 with a perfect 11-0 score!
- Won the Candidates Matches against Mark Taimanov and Bent Larsen, both by 6–0 scores!
- 20 consecutive wins against the world's top players in the Interzonal and Candidates matches!
- In July 1972, Bobby Fischer's rating was 2785, 125 points ahead of the second-highest player, Boris Spassky. This 125-point gap is the largest recorded in chess history.
- Invented the Digital Clock (as seen in the painting)
- Invented Fischer Random (as played by us in the painting)
- Responsible for raising the earnings for chess players worldwide…
