🇬🇧 What a great afternoon in Barrio del Pilar, Madrid! ⚽🙌🏻

Together with the Counselor of Fuencarral-El Pardo, José Antonio Martínez Páramo, we inaugurated a renewed space in Plaza de Carballo featuring our vibrant new mural and meeting area designed for local youth.

This installation is part of the project “Un Balón Puede Cambiar el Barrio” by Red Deporte y Cooperación, funded by Common Goal.

The day was made even more special by the presence of children, professors, and the director of Colegio Virgen del Pilar. Through football, volleyball, and shared activities, we spent time together creating memorable moments and giving children the opportunity to enjoy sport, build connections, and strengthen community ties.

We want to thank Common Goal for allowing us to develop such projects, which reminds us how important sport and public spaces are in creating stronger and more connected communities for future generations. 🙌🏻



🇪🇸 ¡Qué gran tarde en el Barrio del Pilar, Madrid! ⚽🙌🏻
Junto al concejal de Fuencarral-El Pardo, José Antonio Martínez Páramo, inauguramos un espacio renovado en la Plaza de Carballo con un nuevo mural urbano y una zona de encuentro diseñada para los jóvenes del barrio.
Esta instalación forma parte del proyecto “Un Balón Puede Cambiar el Barrio” de Red Deporte y Cooperación, financiado por Common Goal.
La jornada fue aún más especial gracias a la presencia de niños, profesores y el director del Colegio Virgen del Pilar. A través del fútbol, el voleibol y actividades compartidas, pasamos tiempo juntos creando momentos inolvidables y ofreciendo a los niños la oportunidad de disfrutar del deporte, crear vínculos y fortalecer los lazos comunitarios.
Queremos agradecer a Common Goal por permitirnos desarrollar proyectos como este, que nos recuerdan lo importante que son el deporte y los espacios públicos para construir comunidades más fuertes y conectadas para las futuras generaciones. 🙌🏻

Last Thursday and Friday at Red Deporte we had the chance to receive our partners for the Kick-Off meeting of the SOCRATES project - Supporting Opportunities for Children’s Rights and Active Engagement in Society.

The partners presented their organisations and schools, and the impact they create in their communities. As NGO coordinator, Red Deporte’s project officers reviewed the progress of the project, each partner’s roles, as well as the next steps moving forward.

It was a great learning experience to understand different initiatives focused on education, youth empowerment, and social development.
Partners from Austria, Italy, Romania, and Greece shared their inspiring work and perspectives.
