☀️🏏 Got cricket-loving friends or family staying in Mallorca this summer?

We’re launching the Summer T20 Junior Series in Palma de Mallorca this July, giving visiting junior players the chance to take on Mallorca’s junior cricket team in evening T20 matches throughout the summer.

Open to boys and girls aged 12–18, including holidaymakers visiting the island. A fun, social, competitive way to play cricket while in Mallorca and meet other young players from around the world.

🏏 Junior Cricket is Back in Mallorca! 🇪🇸

We’re excited to launch our new Junior Cricket Programme at Son Moix Velodrome, Palma, starting Saturday 14 March.

Open to girls & boys aged 8–16, these weekly sessions are designed to build skills, confidence and a real love for the game — whether your child is completely new to cricket or already playing hard ball.

📍 Where: Son Moix Velodrome, Palma
📅 When: 14 March – 20 June
⏰ Time: 10:30am–12:30pm
💶 Cost: €180 (13 x 2-hour sessions + club t-shirt)

Sessions include:
✔ Soft ball & hard ball cricket
✔ Net lanes
✔ Matches
✔ Team development
✔ Qualified coaching

No training: 4 April (Easter) & 9 May (Balearic Cup)

🏆 The Balearic Cricket Champions Are Rebuilding – New Men’s Players Wanted in Mallorca! 🏏🇪🇸

Mallorca Cricket Club is rebuilding our men’s squad and looking for new players to help us grow regular training sessions and competitive matches.

All ages and ability levels are welcome – whether you’re experienced, returning to cricket, or completely new to the game.

👉 FREE Open Nets Session

📅 Sunday 8th February
⏰ 10:30am–12:30pm
📍 Son Moix Velodrome, Palma

Following the open session, players who want to continue can join 10 weekly training sessions for €100.

What’s included:

• Hardball training drills
• 3 net lanes
• Matches
• Equipment provided (bring your own if you prefer)

🏆 All players will be considered for selection for the Balearic Cup (current champions) and future fixtures.

👦 Coaches wanted
We’re also looking for coaches to help with junior cricket on Saturday mornings. If you enjoy coaching and giving back to the game, we’d love to hear from you.

🏏 Big news from Mallorca Cricket Club

After more than a year of work, mountains of paperwork, and a lot of waiting, cricket has now been officially and legally recognised as a sport in the Balearic Islands 🇪🇸✅

This is a huge milestone and something many people said would never happen.

What this means:
•⁠ ⁠Cricket is now a recognised sport under Balearic law
•⁠ ⁠Clubs and players can be properly federated at regional level
•⁠ ⁠We can access public funding, grants, and institutional support
•⁠ ⁠Councils and government bodies can now legally support cricket facilities and land
•⁠ ⁠It unlocks real pathways for juniors, women’s cricket, competitions, and growth across Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza

In short: cricket is no longer “just a group of clubs” here — it’s now a recognised sport with a future.

This belongs to everyone who has played, coached, organised, supported, waited, and believed in cricket on the island.

🚨 Players Needed – National Finals! 🚨

After winning the Balearic Cup, Mallorca Cricket Club has been invited to represent the Balearics in the Spanish National Finals at Sporting Alfas Cricket Ground 🏏

📅 Dates: Fri 31 Oct – Sun 2 Nov
🏆 Format: T10 – play each team once, top 2 go to the Final!
👥 Squad: 13 players + 1 coach (accommodation, breakfast & lunch covered)
🛏️ Accommodation at Hotel Rober Palas (twin rooms, walking distance to ground)
❗ Travel costs to Alfas not included

Pleased to announce that Mallorca Cricket Club has won the Balearic Cup for the first time in 4 years. Lots of practice and well-executed plans ensured the cup is going back to Mallorca. Great competition and well played Menorca and Ibiza. Huge congratulations to Ben Vickers and Wesley Walker along with the whole team who travelled to Menorca. A big thanks to Dan and everyone involved with MENORCA CRICKET CLUB - Great hosts and what a venue you have built, you should be very proud! It was great to chat with Menorca and the next generation of Ibiza about the future of junior cricket in the Balearics and we look forward to working together to ensure cricket thrives for the long term. Onward and upwards!
