Still a few to come tonight...

Nadroga Club Rugby - Round 4 on 9th May 2026... The remaining 7 games from Ground 1 and a highlights reel, are all on now on the youtube site: "Fossil Fiji" on the 'Sports' playlist.

Some great games here. The Hanahana v Qwali Mavua game uploaded on Monday was epic, as are many others. For me the Nahehehvia v Caginitoba game was crazy, and Navatu performed great - although up against 14 for much of the match.

We are building the highlights reels as a record so we can look at things like 'Try of the season' later. Unfortunately we can only include the games we film in this, and there are 15 matches every Saturday!

The standard of club rugby in Nadroga with its 32 teams is unbelievable, and rugby is hugely important for Fiji's economy, with remittances [money sent from overseas workers] growing to be second behind only tourism as Fiji's biggest earners. A lot of that, and a stable and growing part of that is non other than rugby - and a big part of that has always been Nadroga...

If you were at Lawaqa Park you'll probably be featuring amongst these uploads somewhere....

Last game first. Saturdays game on Fossil Fiji youtube site. Shows the level of club rugby in Fiji Rugby today. 32 teams in Nadroga fighting it out for top honors. I loved this game! Highlights at the end. New opener with the song 'all in' that I think we'll keep for a while. Full rights to music sourced on Epidemic Sound.

Im in suva but will get back into the editing as soon as I get down the coast. 7 games to go!

Yadra, Someone pointed out in youtube comments that the Gaunavou v Lomawai game was only a partial game - actually it was just a selection of highlight and crowd clips i make up for each game [which then goes into the highlights film for each week]. So i have replaced it with the full game - that is the coloured one. The black and white thumbnail is the old one - the mixed clips.

See you Saturday. This week - well try to film as many games as possible - well be at Ground 1 - and I can see some teams there we've yet to film, but also recognising some teams in ground 2 we still havent filmed in 2026 [like my neighbours over the hill in Namatakula - home of Noa Nadruku!]. Look forward to filming their games this year!

One other note - i post music from a site called Epidemic Sound - as a subscriber i have rights to their music and other sounds - like lions roaring etc. But Epidemic Sound has no Fijian music. We'd be keen to use local music - and could even record here at naboutini - if anyone keen. Lemme know. Chrs!
