BUSY MONTH

It’s been another busy month with back-to-back-to-back Australian dive shops, back-to-back New Zealand dive shops, Canadian dive shops, and of course our amazing United States dive shops throughout the entire month. Adding additional guests from Germany, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Italy and Spain, we can officially say... we’ve been busy.

Adding in some super yacht business as well as plenty of dive courses, and with 3,365 dives completed in Fiji’s No. 1 dive ergion, the beautiful throughout the month, we can comfortably say we have upgraded from busy to super busy!

Nine of our DMTs are back in the classroom, studying hard, learning the theory, and putting their knowledge to the test with exams.

Nothing worthwhile comes quickly. Developing safe, knowledgeable, world-class Divemasters takes time, dedication, and hard work.

While time in the water is crucial, so are theory, understanding, and the ability to apply that knowledge. Being a great diver is one thing; becoming a great Dive Professional is another.

The journey continues.

We’re very proud of our good friend Deb, who, after previously spending time with us as a snorkeler decided this visit it was time to take the next exciting step and become a certified Open Water Diver. Not only that she doubled down and completed her NITROX course with us as well.

Of course every great course needs a great Instructor so a big pat on the back to Instructor Jah who safely guided Deb through her Open Water Diver course and Instructor Tuks who worked with Deb on her NITROX course.

Here are Parker, Liam, Charlie, Zoe and James having a blast with Instructor Paris during their Try Scuba experience!

Maybe this is the first step—or fin stroke—toward a lifelong adventure underwater.

Learning, Planning & Safe Diving

Today’s workshop put our Divemaster Trainees (DMTs) in the hot seat!

Working in small breakout groups, they tackled a range of real-world scenarios commonly encountered in our industry — developing solutions, workarounds and practical approaches before presenting their findings to the group.

The results were excellent. Even better were the contributions, teamwork and mature mindsets on display.

Every day is a learning day, and sessions like this reinforce an important principle:

Good diving doesn’t happen by accident.

Proper planning, good communication and thoughtful foresight go a long way toward making safe diving practices simply part of our everyday operation.

We’re proud of the effort and attitude shown by our DMTs today. Keep learning, keep questioning, keep improving

Today we had the pleasure of getting Myra, Steve, Anna and Cora comfortably ready for an amazing week of diving with a Scuba Skills Update under the guidance and watchful eyes of Instructor Paris.

Here we have our wonderful returning guests, and now close friends, Trudy and Ian!

Just five weeks after completing their Wreck Diver course with us, they are back again—this time taking the opportunity to complete their Advanced Open Water Diver (AOWD) course.

Great work, Trudy and Ian! It was a pleasure having you back with us, and they were in excellent hands under the expert guidance of Instructor Pola.
