The timing of my arrival to Nepal couldn't have been more perfect. Clear views of the Himalayas, Tihar and new and old friends, Nepal may have taken the number one spot on tour.

But now it's time for 6 weeks of the best rivers in the world. Let's go.

I have been out of the Stans for a little over a week and can say I truly miss them.

The vast nothingness of Kazakhstan, the harsh roads of Krygyiztan, the steep climbs of Tajikistan and the brutal deserts of Uzbekistan may not have made things easy but made my time there special.

After two months I felt the pace of life, the hard bread and endless plov to be home and it's just feels weird leaving.

I may have gotten 2nd, but I swear I was the fastest American there.

Had an absolutely smashing weekend on the Chilik River here at the final race of the year hosted by .

But more than that I was invited in as family with my rafting team and got to hang out with some of the most fun and friendly crew on and off the river.

This is the exact reason why I started this tour and Kazakhstan really showed up in a big way.
