Why Electric Jet Skis Are Struggling to Gain Ground Without a Paradigm Shift
The real challenge lies in electrifying a jet ski without altering its fundamental nature.
Speed is the primary promise of a jet ski, but it's also where electric propulsion reaches its limits.
Doubling the speed means multiplying energy consumption by four or five.
At speeds over 40 knots, batteries not only discharge quickly, but they also necessitate compromises in range, weight, safety, and ease of use.
It's not a battery issue.
It's a physics and design issue.
Electric propulsion requires a different approach:
a lower top speed, increased efficiency before planing, controlled lift, a lower center of gravity with the potential for sporty instability, and a riding experience that isn't solely dependent on raw speed.
This is the paradigm we've been developing and validating for the past five years, under real-world conditions for water sports.
Not a concept. Not an adaptation. An architecture.

We heard you.
After 3 years of real-world operation, one thing became clear.
The product is neither a circuit nor a boat.
It’s a water attraction that adapts to the situation,
guest flow and guest mindset.
When attendance is moderate,
we deliver organized excursions — smooth, immersive, accessible.
When the rush hits,
it becomes a family ride that absorbs the crowd.
One attraction.
Multiple uses.
Same equipment.
EXOCETGAME
More to come.

What if the real game changer in electric boating wasn’t propulsion — but design?
Electric propulsion is not the real issue.
Design is.
Electric boats only work when the entire architecture is designed for it from day one — not adapted later - Hull shape - Drag management - Stability.Power range
And above all: real-world usage. When these constraints are ignored, electric
becomes frustrating.
This also led us to a bigger question: Today, water leisure is split between two
extremes:
– slow boats: calm, reassuring, but limited
– jet skis: dynamic, but noisy, restrictive, and not truly electrifiable without major compromises
Between those two, there is a missing category.
A space where speed is controlled, sensations come from glide rather than raw
power, drag is reduced instead of compensated, and electric propulsion actually makes sense.
That’s where SkimBoat belongs.
Designed electric-first — not electric-only.
