Renewi Tour is always a proper Belgian race. We started out with a high and a nice win, but luck wasn't fully on our side and a few days in we were down to 5 riders. Still battled on and I even spent some time in a breakaway(which I haven't done in a while). Definitely got my sprint training in during these 5 days as well as some drifting in.
Pleased to report i finished with all my skin intact.

Even on the tough days there was no other people I wanted to share the dinner table with than these guys. We started with high ambitions and boy did we have to work for the final result hard.
Definitely will be a stand out Tour for my career.
Several historic stats from this one. Probably the biggest being helping Mads become the 6th person ever to win all three GT points jerseys.
However for the first time in over 30 years a Latvian was again on the final podium in Paris.
All thanks to Lidl-Trek riders and staff for the three weeks.

9 days of chasing jerseys, wins and trying to stay cool. Time for some rest.
Big shout out to the riders and staff for the hard work to just make it through. The amount of bottles, ice and nutrition we are going through is insane.
Honorable mention to also the organizers, volunteers and police officers that are also fighting the hot temps.
Looking forward to tomorrow and not having to ride with 170 other guys around me.

Quite suiting that my final race in the champ colours was on "home" roads with the family and friends by my side. Will miss wearing the flag on my shoulders 🇱🇻
We didn't have the biggest team, but definitely a strong one with 3 guys finishing in the top 10.
I am quite suspicious how the podium was full of local boys, but hey puts on a great event

Dauphine is always a speedy one. A tough edition, but the team was on a roll. Stage win, GC podium and a proper day with full team commitment to finish the week off. I call that a success.
This was also my last WT stage race in the champ colours and I am pleased to report they will be switching shoulders in a few weeks. Been an honour as always and hopefully there's another year where I can make them proud and show them off on TV

Day 4 of Dauphine/Auvergne Rhone Alpes Tour coming up. The first three have been quite quick, especially yesterday in the TTT. Which is always a hard effort, but was still a pleasure to share it with this team. Also a massive shout out to the whole staff for the investment into the small details to help us go fast. It was also quite possibly my last TT in this jersey, so even happier to share it in good company.
