Successful on paper. Starting over anyway.
After an incredible experience as the Director of Medical Fitness at UMC Hospital, I have made the decision to resign.
I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity, the trust, and the remarkable people I had the privilege of working alongside. I learned more than I could have imagined and will carry those lessons with me for years to come.
But somewhere along the way, I realized that while I was building a successful career, I wasn't building the life I truly wanted.
So I'm choosing something different.
I'm leaving behind the comfortable job, the predictable path, and the version of success that looked great on paper in exchange for a life that feels more aligned with who I am.
I'm returning to what I love most: helping fitness and wellness businesses grow through consulting, developing instructors, building programs, creating workouts, and sharing movement with people around the world. (Looking at you, TEAMSTEPH!)
My next chapter begins in Montreal, where I'll be consulting with a fitness company that operates more than 30 studios across Canada. I'll be developing a new training modality, designing the instructor training program, and helping launch the first generation of coaches.
At the same time, I'll be working with a client in Tofino, British Columbia, helping develop a new Beach Fitness concept for the original yoga studio serving both the local community and top luxury resorts in the country, positioned on the rocky and wildly enchanting Pacific Canadian Coast.
And then there's the personal challenge.
At 37 years old, I'm finally going to learn how to surf.
No kids. No house. Sold the car. One suitcase, a tripod, and a healthy amount of optimism.
I've come to believe that one of the most dangerous questions we can ask ourselves is:
"Is this really it?"
Because if the answer is no, then maybe the bigger risk isn't changing your life.
Maybe the bigger risk is staying exactly where you are.
So here's to new adventures, uncomfortable growth, spectacular mistakes, and hopefully a few wins along the way.
Wish me luck. 🌊
