What I get up to when waiting for the next round of

Free Practice: Straight from my Exams, it was a mad dash to get on track, 3 Laps to settle. Nick pulled me in and told me what I needed to do and I managed to beat my previous PB by 2.1 seconds and got a 1:41.9 which put me P9 by the end of the session.

Qualifying: I got onto pace straight away and on my 4th flying lap I managed to go faster and get a new PB of a 1:40.8 which put me 9th on the grid. Really happy for a top 10 grid spot.

Race 1: A wet race!!! Not the best start as I span up off the line but on the first lap as we all went through Starkies a rider ahead lost the rear & sent on the grass at 100mph, New Underwear time πŸ€ͺ across the wet grass & jump the access Road, managed to re-join just before Coppice dead last, the safety car came out & caught the riders in front but we lost the pack and was 12.5s behind at the restart. Settled in and the pushed as hard as I could, had a few little slides but managed to bring it home in 9th, setting a time that put me on for a front row start in P2. Well pleased.

Race 2: I got a good start but Marley overtook, as we went up towards McLeans I made a dive up the inside of Ben putting me in P2 which I held until he got back past into the Esses. The first couple laps we were all swapping positions left and right but with about 5 laps to go I got back into 2nd and tried to catch Marley. Unfortunately it started to rain slightly and I had a slide out of Melbourne which knocked my confidence meaning I dropped back from the leading 3. On the last lap Lewis came up my inside into Melbourne as we went into Goddard’s I made a late dive up the inside and I managed to hold it to the line with Lewis only 0.01s behind. Very very happy with the weekend and I can’t wait to go again at Knockhill.
Always thanks to

Hoping everyone is ok after this one. 1️⃣ narrowly missed the rider down and went for an MX route around McLeans into dead last. 😳😳😳

This really is a HUGE. Well done to all invloved Grassroots to Grand Prix FAB-Racing πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

FAB-Racing is set to host a one-off round at this years British Grand Prix on 7-8 August (Friday/Saturday).

We are absolutely delighted to be sponsoring this event through our link up with Queensferry Moto Routes News. Kovara Projects are also sponsoring the event.

When Rob from Fab approached us, the opportunity was hard to turn down. Our brand is Grassroots to Grand Prix and this event is Grassroots Racing in the Grand Prix paddock.

This is financially by some margin our biggest contribution, this goes directly towards lowering the entry fees for the riders, so this is a great way of giving back to the paddock.

The Kart circuit is at the Luffield/Brocklands section so a great place for fans to watch Junior Racing during the weekend. Hopefully it will give families a chance to learn about how to get their kids racing.

Huge credit has to go to Roger & Rob Keys for getting this event over the line. It gives Grassroots Racing the best platform it has had for a long time.

Also, for Silverstone to put this on, on their state of the art new circuit is fantastic for bike racing, so praise has to go to them for this.

Races will be broadcast live via Motorsport Media.

Lets make sure this event gets the media coverage it deserves!
