[08/04/18]   I know the weather's hot right now, and physical exertion can be really tiring, but Tai Chi is a gentle form of exercise that does not take it out of you to such an extent as say, aerobics or Zumba dancing. Oh, you will sweat alright, but it's a managable sweat, and you will feel so much better after an hour's practice. Aberdare Tai Chi (Wu Dang style) meets every Monday evening upstairs at Trecynon Hall, 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. First lesson free, thereafter £4 per session. All are welcome whether complete beginner or with some experience already.

[02/20/17]   Classes are from 7pm on Monday and the first one is free. Also a gentler class from 8 for those who wish to take it easier or have difficulty through joint or back problems.

[11/23/16]   · The details of Tai Chi and Qigong are not simple and not for repeating here....there are thousands of websites that do that already. In essence they are not important unless actually practiced.

· The classes do not focus on martial applications, although all Tai Chi movements do have such applications, the focus is on movement, fluidity, relaxation, health, enjoyment and wellbeing.

· Rather than Tai Chi or Qigong being practiced for its own sake we focus on these ancient methods as a process of helping you improving your own particular needs.

· Particpants are welcome from all levels; may be new to any type of physical exercise, rehabilitating from injury or advanced practitioners (often from other forms of martial arts).

· Movements, balance, posture, breathing, meditation, mindfulness, presence, fluidity, meditation, focus, intent and general wellbeing will improve.

· Beginners are advised to try 10 weeks before noticing a difference and learning sets of movements that may be practiced independently at home.

· Many people return to the drop-in classes to meet old and new friends and to go in to more specific detail ....learning is lifelong and something which never stops.

· As long as you can move a little (whether seated or standing) then participation is possible.

· New community or separate organisation classes are an option.

· Please feel free to contact us if you would like more information or have any questions.
