Purple, Black and White Cobras RGU Cheerleading and Dance was set up in 2007 and has been growing stronger every year.
We have people who have never done cheerleading before to gymnasts and people who have been dancing since they could walk. We welcome everyone along, and encourage those with more experience to get involved in coaching. Let us know if your interested in joining our squad or if you would like support for matches or events.

At tryouts, you’ll show off what you’ve picked up from our taster sessions. Think jumps, facials, and a little choreo ✨ We’re looking for confidence, effort, and team spirit just as much as skills!
💜 Open to everyone, whether you’re brand new to cheer or coming in with experience.
👟 Wear comfy sports clothes and trainers.
Ready to join the family? This is where the magic starts. 💫

✨ RGU COBRAS TASTER SESSIONS ✨
Want to see what cheer is all about? 🐍💜 Whether you’re curious to try something new, looking for a fun way to meet people, or already eyeing up a spot on one of our teams, our taster sessions are the place to start!
📅 When & Where:
• 17/09 | 1:30–3:30pm | Aberdeen Gymnastics Centre, AB15 6XH
• 18/09 | 6–8pm | RGU Sports Hall
• 24/09 | 1:30–3:30pm | Aberdeen Gymnastics Centre, AB15 6XH
👟 Wear comfy clothes you can move in (think gym kit) we’ll go through warm-up, jumps, stunts, tumbles, and dance.
🏆 Thinking about trying out for competitive cheer or pom? These sessions are super important as we’ll explain what we’re looking for and teach the audition dances.
Aside from that… expect lots of fun, new friends, and a chance to see what being a Cobra is all about 💜✨ Bring your flatmates, bring your mates, just don’t miss it!
