CONTRACT EXTENSION!!!

Club are delighted to announce that has extended his contract with the club. One of the day 1s, since our return from abeyance. The powerful forward is hugely popular lad at the club. And having overcome a difficult 2024/2025 season with injuries, has been a key player in the club getting promoted.

Craiger: ‘Really chuffed that Aedan has extended his deal with the club. Coming in our first season back from abeyance, he’s been a huge part of what the club has achieved. I know how frustrated he was last season with his injuries. But he came back to preseason fitter and stronger. And was a massive part of the clubs promotion. You couldn’t meet a nicer kid to, he’s a huge part of the club on and off the pitch!’

Great afternoon to round off the season for the club with the Under 18s prize giving. Huge well done to the lads making it the most successful u18s the club have had. Additionally a huge well done to the 16 lads who have all feature for the first team and under 21s across the season. It’s always a bitter sweet day with the club losing a lot of lads away to university and across to the states for scholarships. The lads moving away will all be welcome at Russell’s whenever they want. Huge thanks to Gordon Davidson and for their continued work with the development side.

All points will be worked out based on results of the games. Please note the points for scoring on the graphic. You’ll get a points update after each matchday for the groups then by each round thereafter

50% of the entry fees will go to the cup and the other 50% will be distributed to winners.

CONTRACT EXTENSION!!

Club are delighted to announce that has signed a contract extension with the club. Skinny who is in his second spell with the club having rejoined during last season. He’s a real leader and adds great experience to the young group.

Skinny: ‘Absolutely delighted to sign for another season. Been a great season gaining promotion back to the premiership and also a massive bonus seeing the majority of the sqaud signing on for next season too. The club is built on a great foundation with the development teams and it’s been great seeing the lads coming through into the first team. It’s a great bunch of lads here so looking forward to getting back to it 💙‘

Craiger: ‘Really happy Skinny has extended his contract with the club. Since he came back to the club he’s been a real asset. Unfortunately his season got cut short after a tackle on him about a month ago. But he’ll be back raring to go for preseason!’

THE GREATEST RUSSELL!!

The club are delighted to announce that club captain has agreed a contract extension for next season. Goggz made his debut for the club as a 16 year old. And has plenty life in his legs. He’ll add to the coaching side of the club as well, after taking a role as assistant manager for the 21s this season as well.

Goggz: ‘‘Delighted to sign on for another year. Been a brilliant year earning promotion and watching the squad develop. Future looks very bright at Hall Russell and I’m exicted to continue to be a part of that…as long as the body holds up!’

Craiger: ‘I’ve been lucky to have G as one of my best pals since nursery and even luckier when he said he’d come back when we returned from abeyance. He took a massive risk to leave Culter to come back to a brand new squad starting in the championship. But he knows how much the club means to us both. I’ve told him he’s got to take a few more holidays and weekends away during the coming season. But he’s what this club is built on and he loves being able to help and guide the lads. Keep those legs moving G!’

Full time: Fraserburgh 1 - HRUFC 1! Broch win on pens.

Not the fairytale ending to the season the lads deserved. But we played our way and played the way a Russell’s team should, just wasn’t to be on the day.

Huge well done to the lads this season!! Gaining promotion back to the premier league, after last seasons heart break. They are a true credit to the club.

Lads can get a well earned rest now ahead of preseason end of June!!

Club look forward to the u18s prize giving next Sunday (31st)!!

ELGINSHIRE CUP FINAL IS THIS SUNDAY!!

Kick off is 2pm at Balmoral Stadium, Cove. The fanzone will be open from 12pm for all supporters, gates to the ground will be open at 1pm.
